Loving using this toaster! This is the first four slice toaster we have had, love being able to have settings for each side. Also love the keep warm function and automatic lowering and lifting. Sometimes with sourdough which can be a little wider needs to go in on an angle which is fine but it can get stuck when lifting so need to keep an eye on it. Another issue I've noticed also with sourdough is it takes a long time to brown, and sometimes browns much darker on one side than the other, not sure why this would be. Haven't noticed this problem with other breads though. Overall a great toaster!

Get an engineer to have a look at the design from a user's perspective.My second one has died - I won't be getting another.

I bought a KitchenAid mixer in Pistachio last year which I just love and was so excited to see a toaster in the same colour so I purchased one. It is by far the best toaster I have ever bought. The controls are easy and it beeps when your toast is ready. The toast comes up gently and produces the best toast. So many options for different bread products like muffins and crumpets. I love it. Now just waiting for a kettle in Pistachio. Had to buy a white one to blend in. All your products are worth every cent and more. Bought my son and daughter-in-law a KitchenAid mixer as well and now they want a toaster to match.
I bought this toaster a few weeks ago. Love how it closes the bread and takes down into toaster for toasting. Very quiet and when toast is ready it lifts it up gently (not spring up like older toasters do). Easy to clean especially the crumb catches at back of toaster. I have just found that if you like your toast more well done then you really need to set it to level 6, the numbers go to 7 so you would think 6 and 7 would be burnt but it is not the case. I do love how it tells you how much time left before it is done! I am really pleased with it.

I get beautiful toast with only a little fiddling (which is to be expected because all breads are *not* the same).I love the automated features of the toaster, however there is one aspect that causes me great frustration. The lip at the top of the bread slots overhangs too much and frequently the toast will catch on it when raising the toast. This usually clears ok, but if it catches badly the toast goes back down and needs manual intervention to fix it. This toaster is the best toaster I have ever owned. The settings time it to perfection and the automatic eject is a safety feature. In previous toasters I owned, the toast would become stuck which resulted in me using implements to free the toast or turning the toaster upside to retrieve my toast. In turn, this would cause an enormous mess. I wish I had bought this sooner! I would highly recommend this product. This is the third kitchenAid product we have purchased and we thoroughly impressed with their performance and stylish looks!
I waited till I had used the toaster sufficiently to review it properly because after reading some negative reviews I was a little hesitant in my purchase. However I am thrilled to tell you that it is amazing and functions exactly as it should. The separate cooking zones make it very usable as my husband likes barely cooked toast and I like mine well done! It does cook all types of breads/crumpets/muffins properly and to perfection once you know which setting to use for each type of bread eg grain breads need more toasting than sourdough - and then again each sourdough brand needs different cook times - but you get to know these and there is always the 'cancel' button if you don't get it quite right. We bought this for the family hoping it would be a reliable addition to the pantry. At my workplace we had another brand of touch lift toasters that lasted little more than 6 months.So far, it has performed very well. I have been able to toast Cafe style fruit loaf on setting 3 for a perfect result every time. Turning the setting down to we have excellent results for white sandwich slice. The cantering mechanism works well to avoid uneven toasting.The stainless steel finish cleans up easily and looks great in the pantry. Being able to take the crumb trays out and wash then in the dishwasher (although rarely necessary for us) is a great idea.
