I bought this mixer as a Christmas present for my daughter so I cannot review this actual mixer, but I have had this model for about 10 years and have nothing but praise for it. I use it for kneading bread, making meringues, cakes, and the usual stuff you do with a mixer!! It sits on the worktop and looks just as good as it did when it was new. It is a solid machine and even when kneading 2lb dough it doesn't complain. It mixes well and there are never any lumps of flour or uncreamed butter and sugar. The bowl shield helps to keep a lot of the dust inside the bowl when adding flour/icing sugar, although there is still a little that manages to escape to coat the work surface in a fine layer making it look as though I haven't cleaned in months!! Only used it once so far to make butterfly cakes. They turned out wonderful and the butter cream was amazing, all done in record time. The mixer is fabulous. I have always used a kenwood and when my old one from the 1960's started to make loud sounds I thought it time to replace. I brought a new kenwood but sent it back as it was a waste of time, then I saw this the reviews were brilliant and I had to get it. So glad I did, it is strong a good weight very quiet and mixes perfectly.

I was thrilled when it arrived as it looks beautiful, it sits proudly on my kitchen side and looks sleek and classy. It is very quiet and the accessories are solid and good quality. The unit itself is very heavy and does not move when mixing. Unfortunately the splash guard that comes back with the mixer is terrible and doesn’t even fit properly on either bowl. I find I have to hold the guard on when using the mixer as the slightest knock from the mixer blade and it flies off covering my kitchen in whatever I’m mixing! We finally bought the KithenAid and my only regret is not getting it sooner. It's unbelievable how much it saves on time and space and a big bonus, on waste. We're a family of four and I love having friends and family around. We have used a hand whisk and multiple bowls to make mash and bakes in the past. I also had a bulky citrus squeezer taking up valuable worktop space which we used daily instead of buying juice. I got the juicer attachment and haven't looked back since. The kids love using it too and easily squeeze a kilogram of citrus. Making lemonade, orange juice, lollies, whisking up treats and baking bread without much effort. Again a big save on unnecessary use of plastic or paper wrapping when we bake or own. We absolutely love it!
This mixer is superb, it mixes right to the edge of the bowl so no need to keep stopping and scraping in cake mix from around the side. It has 10 speed settings, but even on the highest setting, it's so quiet. Ive experimented with all the attachments which slide in so easily and they make whisking and beating so easy and quick. It arrived with the stylish silver coloured bowl which is very smart and a perfect size, but there are a number of stunning alternatives that can be purchased as extras if you choose. As an observation, i was surprised to read that the recommendation is that not all the mixing attachments should go in a dishwasher, so i have opted to hand wash these to avoid shortening their lives.
I have been longing for a mixer for a long time. My husband decided to treat me to one as the January sales were fabulous. The hard part was choosing a colour. My inner Wednesday decided on the Matte black. I absolutely adore it! I was worrying about how easy it would be to clean and keep clean. It's super easy some soapy water and drying it straight after . It looks as good as new with minimal effort. As for the machine itself. It is everything and more. I am over the moon with it. It makes cake making a joy. Hearts of Stur are brilliant to deal with and best prices. Highly recommend
