KitchenAid Artisan KSM195 Stand Mixer Milkshake

So the first thing I want to point out is the mixer is so much prettier in person!! It looks just like a light blue on the box, but in person it’s a beautiful color shifting blue! We made home made biscuits in it and they came out wonderful. I had been using my grandmas older model one and while it good, I really appreciated how with this particular model it came with extra accessories such as an extra mixing bowl and spatula. It’s not super loud and was super easy to clean. It has an extremely strong grip on the bottom that prevents it from moving. The spatula it came with scrapes the edges of the bowl really well preventing you from wasting whatever mix you’re using. I would like to point out I was sent this for free and exchange for my honest opinion, but I would definitely spend my own money on this mixer. At this time I really cannot think of any cons as I am super satisfied with the mixer! This would make a beautiful housewarming gift or something special for yourself.

Instruction Book: This could not only be on better quality paper buthave more instructions. Broke After One Week

On 11.30.23, I purchased a 5QT stand mixer from the KitchenAid website. The unit arrived on 11.30.23. Two weeks later, I began my holiday baking. After one week of making simple cookie recipes (no breads/heavy doughs), the mixer broke. The motor head/beater shaft stopped moving. The day before this occurred, the unit began making noises and shook when on speeds 1 & 2. The shaking became worse and eventually shook so much that the accessories cap came loose. Very upset, I called Customer Service on 12.20 and explained my situation and also provided video. The gentleman arranged for a new unit to be shipped. This unit arrived on 12.31. I will test it within the next day or so. I was grateful that I kept my prior model. Comparing the model I had for over 15 years to the new one, I noticed that the accessory cap is more plastic than metal. Same goes for the levers - definitely a lessor quality. While it's fun to have so many colors to chose from, I hope KitchenAid isn't sacrificing colors for quality. These mixers are known to be work horses and to stand the test of time. The mixer I purchased on 11.30 certainly did not live up to the standard I have come to appreciate from KitchenAid. I appreciate KitchenAid replacing the mixer without hassle. I pray the replacement mixer is one that I will have for years to come....and that I'll be able to give it a 5 star rating.

I noticed that my older model was of better quality. The accessory cap was metal vs the new one which is between metal and plastic. The levers are also a lessor quality on the new mixer. I had my older model for over 15 years and absolutely loved it! I pray this one lasts that long as well. Thank you KitchenAid for making this situation right. PLEASE focus on the quality the brand is known for! Having loads of color choices is fun, but not if it means sacrificing quality. I hope I'll be able to give a 5 star review on the unit you recently sent me.

Disappointed with Kitchen Aid decisions

I have used a Kitchen Aid Artisan mixer for over 40 years and have loved it. When I recently replaced mine with a new one in the beautiful Juniper color, I was excited to try it out. As I was scraping down the beater, it actually fell off the beater shaft into my dough. I realized that the spring that held the beater snug and secure was missing on my mixer. Imagine my surprise and shock when I was told by customer support that this part was discontinued in 2016. All it took for the beater to fall off was me bumping it to clean it off. I was further instructed to watch videos on how to put the beater on my mixer. After using the same mixer for 40 years, I think I know how to do that correctly. I purchased this mixer for my lovely bride who makes 13 varieties of Christmas cookies every year and gives them to loved ones. She absolutely LOVES the new machine and all of the included amenities. We now own three of these mixers, one of which is working, but "getting tired." Our new candy apple red mixer is her go-to now !!Sadly, within two weeks of use, the spatula beater failed. The material of which the spatula is made cracked, thus allowing food to accumulate and possibly contaminate future batches of food. I ordered a complimentary replacement and hope that this will not become an ongoing issue. My guess is that this new attachment was not lab tested before being offered to customers. Kitchen aid Mixer

After a rocky start where the first one bought was faulty ( no fault of Kitchen Warehouse ) and replaced with very little hassle, it is all that I and my daughter for whom I bought it wished for. Her own stand mixer was on its last legs and desperately needed replacing. This new one is infinitely superior. It creams butter and sugar perfectly . The kids find it easy to use and love it.I would love to win another one to give to my son and daughter in law and their two girls as I know that they will all use it and really appreciate it. We are a family who enjoy cooking and preparing meals that taste good and are healthier and mor economical that store bought or take away food. Quality is No Longer Part of the KitchenAid Brand

What happened to the KitchenAid quality? I do a lot of baking and use my KA mixer every weekend. I have one that I bought a decade ago and decided to get a new one that matched my newly renovated kitchen. I purchased this mixer and my wife and I used both last night making a double batch of bread items. Wow - was I disappointed in the quality of the new vs. older mixer! The accessories are so cheap - light alloy we used to call "pot-metal" that undoubtedly will oxidize very quickly. The mixer is louder and feels cheap - not substantial like the older one. Sadly, whomever made the decision to substitute cheap metal and products in order to increase profits has really diminished the brand in my opinion. Really solid and worth the money

I looked at these for quite a while due to the cost - was hesitant and wanted to make sure it was worth the money so did a lot of research. I had a stand mixer that sat in the cabinet largely unused for many years. Just didn't work well and did things like dough climbing etc. Took the leap and purchased the KitchenAid. No regrets about the purchase. The KitchenAid was initially taken in and out of the cabinet but I've found so many uses that it now sits on my counter. My biscuits, bread, and other things are now so much better. I didn't know hand kneading would be so different in the outcome with more airy fluffy breads. The machine is really solid.
