I bought this because the make of the product meant quality...And basically it is, except the part that the garlic is pressed through is separate to the main piece. I say this because I never realised this. So be careful in the dishwasher. I always handwash, and try not toblose the insert...

Kitchen aid - classic garlic press will impress!They haven’t changed the design because it works so well. This is my second press, my sister stole my first : you’ll love one too !
Works quite well, but doesn't feel quite as robust as the previous model which was die cast (but is no longer available). Removable screen is handy.
I love the quality of my new garlic press. I have upgraded my kitchen with Kitchenaid and I am glad I did.
I eat so much more garlic now - not sure if that's a good or bad thing ;). It certainly smells fragrant when I'm cooking but the smell does linger. Am annoyed at myself for getting to nearly 40 before investing in a garlic press. Tiny bit tedious to clean afterwards, but not as tedious as trying to finely dice garlic with a knife.
Impressed by this press. Removable insert makes cleaning a breeze . Just Dismantle and throw in the dish washer rather than trying to remove all the garlic chunks !
For the price it is well made & strong enough to crush unpeeled garlic. Cleaning isn't so bad as far as garlic presses go.
Really pleased with this garlic press. You can detach the basket which makes it simple to clean and best of all, it can go in the dishwasher. Great colour too.
