I bought this a month ago and as it looked like the industry standard, a micro plane. I was expecting it to perform. The teeth on the grater were so weak I thought I must have left a layer of plastic over it. Unfortunately I had not, it is just a terrible product. I have had similar problems with other kitchen aid products. Chef’s are used to kitchen aids reputation of solid almost indestructible bench top mixers. It seems like lately kitchen aid is cashing in on the brand name and making a bunch of poorly designed products. Completely dissapointed

My husband questioned the necessity of buying a zester when we have other utensils to do the job… until he used it. Using it is effortless and it only takes the top layer, the actual zest and leaves the pith behind. Definitely worth buying especially at sale price.

This grater does the job but the configuration of the perforations on the blade renders it slow to use. Brands with the perforations right across the blade work better.
Got this for my sister for Christmas. She was pleasantly surprised. Has worked well so far and looks stylish.
Really like this grater. Easy to use. Smooth grating. Excellent for citrus zest. Good size.
useful, my boyfriend likes it, unlike some common one, this can protect your hands.also, red color is beautiful, it matches my other kitchenaid stuff.
Really not happy with this product , just doesn't do the job .My old reliable microplaine does a much better job at zesting ,which was my main use for this product . It looks great but sadly I think I'll give it to my daughter
