I thought this would be a good frying pan but it’s not. It gives off the nastiest chemical smell. My omelette was inedible as it tasted funny. I cooked vegetables in it as well. Awful tasting. I threw the pan away.

I was disappointed by the quality of this KitchenAid 12" fry pan purchased online a month ago. It's not worth the price. The pan is thinner overall and much lighter than it used to be. In my experience, a good long lasting pan should at least have a solid thicker bottom and have some weight to it. I have trusted KitchenAid brand for years and own a selection of their cookware. Sadly the quality is no longer the same. Don't think it can be returned now since I haved used the pan a few times. But, how are you able to judge a fry pan without trying it first.

Pros: Heavy, durable construction. Deep and roomy for an 8-inch pan. Non-stick works beautifully (but as with all things non-stick, who knows how long it'll stand up - hopefully a very long time!). Very modern design, looks and feels like the quality product that it is.Con: The only con I could find with this pan (and this is *super* nit-picky) is that the inside inner "lip" of the rim is close to a 90-degree corner, so while it's not sharp or anything, it has the tendency to "catch" food slightly as it's coming up off the lip (think like trying to slide an omelette or fried egg on to a plate). The only (again, very minor) change I'd make to this would be to make that lip more rounded instead of a harder 90-degree angle.

Pan looks good and feels good; sturdy and durable, but not heavy. Handle is good length and did not heat up when cooking. Everything cooked quickly and evenly. Worked great with my induction stove top as I had hoped it would. Cleaned up with just a little water and swipe of paper towel even with melted, somewhat burned, sticky cheese from a quick cheeseburger! Was no need to even put it in the dishwasher. Love it and is a perfect go to for small, quick items like eggs, grilled cheese or a burger.
I live alone and was looking for a small nonstick fry pan for myself. This is really nice. Perfect for 2 fried eggs or a grilled sandwich or small amount of anything for one (maybe even for 2). Paperwork suggests washing by hand so that's what I've been doing. So far nothing has stuck to it. I'm glad I got it.
Instead of this KitchenAide pan, I bought a Circulon pan and has its own lid that you can cook at any temperature; has a center heating core that radiates heat through the pan. No more undercooked food. I also own this kitchenAid pan , but it does not cook better than the Circulon. Not only can I get a thorough cooking temperature on my Circulon , it also is capable of baking food in my oven up to 500* temp. My Circulon has a non-stick surface and is 11" pan (little larger than the Kitchenade,) half the price. Both the kitchenade and Circulon are great pans, but you get a warranty with your pan and cover that holds up better as long as you use the proper cooking temperature and cooking utensils. I prefer the Circulon.
Pan is perfect size for two eggs over medium! I bought four as they were on sale and I often make breakfast 'short order cook' style for the family on weekends. I can have the bacon baked crispy and plated, heat up four of these little nonstick pans, drop the eggs and by the time the toast pops up, EGGS ARE READY. These are not lightweight, they are sturdy and heat up nicely. Love them!
This is a really well-made frypan. It is very heavy. What I like about it. It does not have that black Teflon with all the chemicals in it. I have used it a few times, and it cooks and cleans wonderfully. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from that black Teflon
Great Quality and feel. I've only used it for small items (eggs, etc.) but I'm impressed so far. It is also very easy to clean and maintain. This was an online purchase. Shipping was fast with no complications.
Love this 8 inch skillet. Very good quality. Cleans up easily. Nothing sticks. Even heating surface, no hot spots.
