I purchased this kitchenAid electric tea kettle which I bought over 5 yrs ago. I love it so much it heats up water instantly. A blue light indicator comes on when the water is boiling and the switch will turn off automatically when the water is ready to pour. You will also hear the click and it looks so elegant on my counter so I decide to purchase one for my daughter in law. I will definitely purchase more kitchenAid products in the coming months. Love Love The Product........

This kettle is small, barely enough for two mugs of coffee or tea and requires a refill every time. There is no outside gauge to determine water level, and the inside water level is difficult to see. Like other users I’ve found this kettle develops scale very quickly, but I haven’t experienced the issue related to plastic odour. After just over two weeks of use the kettle is noisy. And the paint finish under the lid is already eroding so I’m not convinced of it lasting much longer. I’m really not happy with this kettle and expected better of Kitchenaid

I bought this less than 3 years ago. I loved the look of it and the material looks very durable. It's definitely an expensive kettle but I thought it would last forever just like many other Kitchen Aid products I've purchased before. I don't drink a lot of hot water, at most 2 pots a day, usually 1 only. However, it has stopped working. It won't turn on anymore. I'm very disappointed at the durability as I use it very delicately. I read the reviews and realized that it's actually a common problem. I'm so disappointed that Kitchen Aid cannot stand to its standards and quality anymore.

This kettle is worth every penny, it sits smaller in size on the kitchen bench however still has the capacity as stated of 1.25L. It is lightweight, quiet when boiling and is fast and efficient. I am super happy with this purchase and quality of the product. It has a sturdy handle that is great compared to other kettles I have had that had rubber/plastic handles which eventually broke. I foresee that this will not happen as it is well made and durable. Better to spend the extra money for a quality product that continue having multiple kettles break after a short while. I also have other kitchen aid products that I have had for years and continue to perform.
I have recently moved into my first unfurnished home with my partner and we have been scrambling to find new kitchen equipment. After my mother got me my very first kitchen aid stand mixer I fell in love with it, the look, how easy it is to use and the variety of the kitchen aid attachments and products, so I knew I wanted more! We then went out and bought the kitchen aid toaster to match, so we also shortly after got the kitchen aid kettle. I couldn't be happier Our new kitchen looks amazing!!!
Have owned and loved this kettle for many years. Boils water quickly, looks great on bench, cord can be stored neatly in base. I read the review about the taste/smell of plastic but this hasn't been a problem for us. Not the quietest kettle I've ever owned but is definitely the most reliable. Until.... a friend put it on gas top to boil water and the kettle is no more! Now looking around for a replacement but wouldn't hesitate replacing with a KitchenAid. Had red last time (the colour did fade in the sun) but think will get black next.
This is my second Kitchenaid kettle. I had one someone did something very stupid and ruined it. (Put in on stovetop to heat water.) I loved it so much that I immediately ordered another. The exact same one in my favorite color:red. It heats water so fast and its so pretty. I’d order another if this one gets ruined. I also have a stand mixer by Kitchenaid that I’ve had for a long time and wouldn’t be without one.
Kitchen Aide electric countertop boiling water kettle is a keeper. I’ve used the less expensive glass kind, while they look cool because you can see boiling water they are not as energy efficient as the Kitchen Aide metal vessel. Kitchen Aide boils the water quicker because the metal retains heat longer whereas the glass loses heat rapidly resulting in more time to rebook the water inside. If you drink a lot if hot tea as I do the Kitchen Aide boiling water kettle is time and electricity saver. Also no cracked or chipped glass pot if you have multiple users cracked or chipped glsss pot more likely.
I love Kitchenaid products and bought the electric kettle about three years ago. We liked it so much that we bought the second kettle about nine months later. But the Led on/off switch of both kettles failed within the last five weeks. I am extremely disappointed that these expensive kettles do not last at least 4-5 years. It is definitely not the quality that I expected from Kitchenaid products. Because the kettles were out of the one year warranty, Kitchenaid offered a small discount off their list price for a replacement kettle. I decided not to waste my money for the inferior kettle.
