Loved the purchase. The size is just perfect for me. I have a full sized Nutribullet blender and it is very inconvenient to use in many scenarios other than making smoothies. Also worth mentioning is the modular design on this one. It is so convenient to clean afterwords. I have so far made pestos, chopped nuts and pureed cooked spinach. Iām still yet to try making nut butter, hummus, and almond date energy balls. The last item broke my immersion hand blender from walmart since it can get sticky. Iām confident that the food processor is powerful enough to handle it. No complains!

I had never tried a food chopper before, and this KitchenAid exceeded my expectations. I find it to be a game changer in the kitchen. Normally I spend a lot of time chopping up all of my vegetables, and I find that it gets very tedious. With this machine, you only need to cut your veggies up into 1-inch sized pieces, and the chopper takes care of the rest. When I used this to chop onions, I found that you only need to press the pulse button a few times in order to get the onions to be a nice, diced size. If you press the pulse button too many times or hold it down too long, your veggies (or whatever else you are chopping) will become very fine. As with anything, experimenting and using it over time will help you learn how to master the right chop for whatever you ...Ā MoreI had never tried a food chopper before, and this KitchenAid exceeded my expectations. One con that I found with this chopper is that I had no idea how to take the lid off. My husband is an engineer, and he even had trouble. The directions made it seem as if you have to push down on the lid and turn, when you actually do not push down at all. I was finally able to understand how to remove the lid after looking up a video online. Now that I know how to remove it, it is very easy. I would definitely recommend this chopper for anyone looking to speed up their time prepping in the kitchen.

I am so enchanted with these, i bought several: for all my kids and friends!I'll tell you why you need a chopper (actually both of them), in addition to your food processor:size, and ease of clean. Now I have two choppers: the 3.5 cups and the 5 cups. They both have the same base diameter, and the same 240 watts power. The 3.5 cups work bowl and the 5 cups work bowl both fit on either base, therefore I just keep one of the bases on the counter, and I use the bowls as I need them. Both work bowls have a spout. The 3.5 cup work bowl has a blade that stays attached to it when I pour liquids out of it. The 5 cup bowl comes with a wisk attachment, and of course, there is more room if I want to process a larger quantity of veggies. So far so good I havenāt used it for anything other than basic chopping, but it s super easy to use and convenient! My daughter loves it as she hates when I ask her to chop onions manually! This is a dream to her and for me it save an awful lot of time. This is my first time purchasing a refurbished product, but I felt safe in doing so from the actual site as opposed to a third party seller! Knowing that kitchenaid tests it before reselling and knowing what refurbished means helps with being sure itās ok to purchase and that I am not wasting my money! I did not like that there were no instructions in the box! I had a hard time figuring out how to remove the the cup without breaking it or how to remove the lid, again I was afraid I would break it trying to figure it ...Ā MoreSo far so good I havenāt used it for anything other than basic chopping, but it s super easy to use and convenient! I did not like that there were no instructions in the box! I had a hard time figuring out how to remove the the cup without breaking it or how to remove the lid, again I was afraid I would break it trying to figure it out! I itās ok to turn to the internet to learn how to do those things, which is what I did, but that was not terribly convenient considering I had just opened the box so a manual imo would have been nice to have! Overall I am happy with my purchase and it fits it with the rest of my kitchen aid products! Canāt wait to use it to make mayonnaise! I only gave it 4 stars be it worked as expected, but not soooo amazing like some reviews have hyped it up and also bc I was expecting some type of little leaflet/Manual in the box with instructions for care and maybe even little recipes or how to etc . . . it was just in the box!
I love this little workhorse, I've used it to chop onions, garlic, tomatoes, herbs. I use it daily until one day the lid accidentally fell and the two pieces separated. I tried to put them back together without any luck. I find the plastic bowl and lid to be rather flimsy. I wished that it could have been made with better quality plastic and could withstand little kitchen mishaps like dropping it without it chipping or breaking right off. Kitchen Aid, I love your products, can you please make the bowls and lids more durable? I miss my little chopper.
I have not had a chance to use this a lot yet, but I have used it, and it works well. It is more quiet than the old Cuisinart mini choppers I've had. I also like that this has a whisk attachment and will try that soon. Getting the lid on/off was a bit difficult at first, but now that I've used it several times, it goes on and comes off easily. I bought this specifically because I have a small kitchen, and unfortunately, I don't have room for a full-size food processor. This helps get some chopping tasks done a lot quicker than doing it manually for those of us who aren't super-fast at chopping with knives.
I recently got the KitchenAid Cordless 5 Cup Food Chopper - Hearth & Hand⢠with Magnolia Exclusive Color (in this case āShaded Palmā). My wife is the cook in the house. I only grill, as if I try anything else, it turns out to be a dismal failure. The initial thoughts/findings are mine⦠but actual use reflects her thoughts. For context, we have quite a few KitchenAid appliances, and generally love their equipment. In the box you get the chopper motor housing, the 5 cup container, with locking lid, the blade, blade shaft/adapter, the āwhisking attachmentā, which fits over the blade shaft, the charger, and various documentation.Key notes include the fact that the container and all items that fit in the container/on the container are top-rack dishwasher safe. The construction of the motor housing and other components are all KitchenAid quality⦠pretty durable, especially when compared to other manufacturers. Blades are super sharp, as one would expect. And, the charging cable offers a generous length. An interesting āfeatureā is that when you plug the charger into the front of the motorās housing⦠yes, in the front, to the left of the speed selector (which offers two speeds)... the speed selector locks into place. The selector must be in the off position to insert the plug into the housing. So, this means that you cannot use this device while it is charging⦠only when it is charged (and the unit does charge fast, as indicated by a bright LED light by the speed selector) and after you remove the plug from the housing. Admittedly, Iām not a fan of this approach. This means that once the battery dies⦠the unit gets recycled, responsibly of course. For build quality, Iād have to give the unit a four-star. Now, on to my wifeās thoughts, which is really what matters in this review.Again, we have other KitchenAid appliances, including a plug-in chopper, similar in all ways except that the 4-year-old plug-in chopper (which replaced a 10-year-old KitchenAid chopper), is a different color, must be used while plugged in, and seems to have a stronger motor (according to my wife). My wife makes jams. For this ācookā she needed to chop apples (the unit chops, purees, and whips) for the jam. Iāll keep this short. She didnāt like it, compared to our corded chopper. She noted that it took many more times to āpulseā the apples than our corded device, as this unit just doesnāt seem to have as much power. She also noted that she had to open the housing more often to use a silicone spatula to move the apples toward the blade housing to get them chop as well as she needed for the jam. She asked me to point out that, as you can see in the pictures offered with the review, the container wasnāt filled to capacity. She noted, in fairness, that apples can be tough to chop and that this unit might work better for other use-cases involving softer fruits, vegetables, and other food items. However, she said that she primarily uses her choppers for jams and salsas⦠and, at least on the ājam front,ā she was disappointed. I asked her to provide a rating on her experience. She noted, for build and convenience⦠e.g., in instances where you need a fairly solid device where you donāt have access to power, this is a no-brainer⦠a solid 4- to 5-star. But, she said, as far as use (at least specific to chopping apples for jam) goes and the end result⦠it was a 2-star. She said, overall, she expected more from the KitchenAid brand and would rate the unit no higher than a 3. Based on her thoughts, thatās the rating Iām providing⦠although YMMV.
I LOVE this little chopper!!!! I use it nearly every day. Sometimes several times a day. I first purchased one in Dec 2019. My husband had oral surgery done in Jan 2020 and was on a soft food diet for 4 months. (Think baby food consistency). This thing was his savior! I used to mash hard boiled eggs with a fork when making potato salad because, wellā¦thatās how my grandma did it. My sweet little KitchenAid now makes mashing 10 eggs a 3 second job with no effort. My latest obsession is making finishing salts with fresh herbs. I can whip out batch after batch with this little beast. I purchased 4 more from Blainās F & F so I can share the love this coming Christmas!
My old food processor broke and I finally decided to replace it. I am so glad I did! I wish I had done it months ago. This processor is the perfect size for a small family but it is very powerful! I have used both the chop and whip functions and they both work excellently! I wasnāt sure about holding the lid down to get it to mix but that hasnāt been a problem at all. I would highly recommend this appliance and I have already done so to friends and family. I just wish I had bought it sooner! Another bonus, it doesnāt take up a lot of cabinet space and is easy to store.
Space in my kitchen is at a premium, but I couldn't resist purchasing this KitchenAid after watching Tina Verrelli demonstrate it. The price was great (got it on a free shipping day) and received it in time to use it for preparing my sides for Thanksgiving. I was able to chop all of my onions and celery for dressing, crumbled cheese for mac & cheese (although I should have just grated it instead), and I used the whisking blade to make homemade whipped topping for our dessert (which came together REALLY fast). It's dishwasher safe (except for the motor, of course) and the chord wraps easily around and stays put in the slot/channel. I love red and that's the color I got. It's a nice fire truck red. It's a very handy, small appliance to help make meal prep easier.
