In a matter of minutes it cuts in the cold cut butter into the flour mix and then you add the rest of the ingredients.The scraper is handy and cleans the mixture out from in between the bars of the beater and also is great at removing dough from the kitchenaid bowl.Loved it so much, purchased one for my mum in law.

I bought the stainless steel one for me, but decided to get the prettier sounding silver one for my DIL to go with her black mixer and black bowl. I regret it, it's maybe half the weight, feels very flimsy and fragile, and is more like a Wish version of my stainless steel one.

I bought this a few weeks ago, and this weekend I will be making piles of shortbread biscuits with it. Looking forward to testing it on shortbread dough!

I bought this for my pre Ramadan preps. Found it very useful when making pastry. I dont have spend time breaking and rubbing the flour into the butter. Would recommend for pastry making

What a delight to use. Making pastry has never been easier. I frequently make short sweet pastry & after just one use of this attachment I'm hooked. Mixture became crumbly as desired & once the liquid was added the mixture easily slid off the surface of the beater.
I used my Pastry Beater for the first time today to make Finger Buns. It was so much easier using the beater to crumb the flour and butter instead of having to do it manually. Great attachment saving my weak hands. Definitely recommend.
I had very low expectations, but I gave it a chance and I will never make pie dough with a pastry blender by hand again. This gets it done fast so the butter doesn't have time to start melting. It also keeps my hands completely out of it, which also prevents melting and confines the entire mess to the bowl. The scraper it comes with fits perfectly into the spaces in the beater attachment. I switch to the flat beater to gently combine everything when I add the water. Five minutes for the whole thing and that is awesome. I end up with the exact same flaky crust I get when I do it by hand. I wish I had this when my daughter was a baby a few years ago. I could seriously make a pie with a baby in my arms. I was skeptical when I purchased this. So used to making pastry by hand. Yesterday I make simple pie crust and it was just as advertised. The shortening blended into the flour perfectly. Could not ask for better. Being dishwasher safe is a great bonus. I would highly recommend.
