I am a huge fan of Kitchen Aid after purchasing the food mixer and a couple of attachments. The quality, build and reliability is worth the money you pay for them, which I see as a long term investment rather than a five minute fad. Therefore when I purchased the Spiraliser, Peel & Core I expected the usual high standards.Having just got a crop of apples from a neighbours tree I thought this tool would make short work of them - not so. Setting the attachment up was pretty easy but the peeler only worked for the first three apples then the corer just dug into the apple and refused to move. I ended up having to dismantle the whole thing, clean it and put it back only for it to work on one more apple before the same thing happened again and I resorted to peeling them ... MoreI am a huge fan of Kitchen Aid after purchasing the food mixer and a couple of attachments. Disappointing to say the least.I tried the spirilizer yesterday on some carrots. The finest blade was a little too thick so I'm not sure what the medium one would be like. The set does not contain the extra fine blade which probably needs to be substituted for the medium. There is quite a lot of wastage but as I have dogs that love carrots they get the centres but I worry about other veggies I will use so the design could be better.Washes well but unsure how long the spike that holds the fruit or vegetable will last as it's not very robust. In conclusion I would not purchase this again given the poor Peel and Core facility. Shame I expect better from Kitchen Aid and I would have thought they could do better. I will be returning.

I bought it one week back and made any kind of vegetable spaghettis already. I tried our zucchinis, carrots, parsnips, sweet potatos, potatos and celeriac and all went pretty well. Its quite robust and tools are sharp. Cutting and peeling at the same time saves you some time as well. Overall I would recommend.

Bought as an attachment to add to my beautiful Pistachio Ktchenaid mixer. I have had a lot of problems with mine; the unit shakes my mixer when peeling potatoes etc, and the courgettes no longer spiralise. I haven't used it since as I am worried about the motor in my mixer. However trying to get John Lewis to replace this has been a nightmare; they even said I needed to contact Kitchenaid myself! Most unhelpful. Disappointed in the product and service. John Lewis, I will take my custom elsewhere in future.

Does exactly as it says in the instructions. Easy to set up. Good results. Have only tried carrots and potatoes so far. One thing I would say I wish I had ordered the 7 piece instead of the 5 because that has the veryfine spiralizer and fine slicer.
Easy to use, simple to clean and the box it comes in is fine for storage. As one might expect from KitchenAid the main arm is strong and sturdy. It fits easily into our KitchenAid mixer and the blades and peeler attachments are simple and quick to fit. I have only had the kit for a few weeks and so far I have used it on carrots, courgettes and sweet potatoes, all with speedy success. Love it.
Love my new KitchenAid spiralizer that I got for Xmas. I have made zucchini and sweet potato noodles and they are fantastic. Easy to use and perfect every time. Enjoying it as I’m trying to stay off the pasta.
Bought it to make my life easier when coring apples but found that it is fidley and its not coring as I hoped it would. But I will keep trying and if I still have hassles I will contact kitchenaid to see what can be done.
This is probably the best spirualiser on the market. It is effortless to use and clean and the result is very even. However it's still not bundled with all the attachments. For example very fine blade is not included. It's just another attachment to buy for this attachment....
I bit the bullet and bought this expensive attachment as I was spirlasing my fingers and getting RSI on my under £10 pencil-sharpener version. It has two sizes of spiraliser, two slicing blades and a peeler (I have still not got the peeler to peel anything yet I must be doing something wrong here!). I was slightly disappointed at the thickness of the 'small' spirals they are not as fine as I was expecting but it is quicker to put together and use than I thought it would be. I have since found out you can buy additional slicers/spiralisers that are finer so am considering doing this. The instructions could have been better though. There was no recipe book or suggestions of which attachment to use and when and the website given in the so-called instruction book had me ... MoreI bit the bullet and bought this expensive attachment as I was spirlasing my fingers and getting RSI on my under £10 pencil-sharpener version. There was no recipe book or suggestions of which attachment to use and when and the website given in the so-called instruction book had me trawling through various webpages to no avail and I ended up watching something on some US site. I did think that for the money I had spent something could have been included in the box and I have still not received a reply to the e-mail I sent to KitchenAid asking for their advice - some months ago now! All in all the product works but instead of being able to unpack and use it straight away I spent a whole evening and most of the following day trying to find some decent instructions so that I did not break anything!
This Spiralizer is my first KitchenAid attachment purchase and I'm very pleased indeed. I decided to buy this for health reasons as I now need to follow a low carbohydrate diet so no more big bowls of pasta and I'm now looking to replace pasta with vegetable 'spaghetti' , using carrot and courgette instead.Used it for the first time today, it took a little while to work out 'what goes where' but I soon got the hang of it and very soon had a full bowl of spiral vegetables. It's easy to use, gives great results and easy to clean too.It comes with several blades, each blade needs to be used at different speeds so it's essential to read the manual first. The attachment comes in a very useful storage box, great idea.I would definitely recommend this product.Only ... MoreThis Spiralizer is my first KitchenAid attachment purchase and I'm very pleased indeed. Most reviews are for the KitchenAid mixer and not this specific attachment, you have to read through about 40 reviews before coming to two about the Spiralizer attachment. Also the photos attached are of other KitchenAid products too.
