I am writing now after ten minutes of actual terror trying to get one of the eight rollers out of my hair.My hair is long and fine, and seven of the eight rollers came out like a dream. However, there was one roller framing my face that refused to come out. Even though I had rolled it just like the others, there was no movement of any strand of hair, no matter what I tried. There was no "correct" direction to pull the hair... no "correct" angle... no "good piece" of hair to start with... no hair moved at all. It was very hard to hold back tears at this point because the only options I could imagine were either ripping out all this healthy hair or cutting out the roller about three inches from my scalp. When working on dry hair didn't work, I tried to use every ... MoreI am writing now after ten minutes of actual terror trying to get one of the eight rollers out of my hair.My hair is long and fine, and seven of the eight rollers came out like a dream. I eventually got enough hair loose to begin to unroll the roller with my head still under running water in the sink. This was the most traumatic hair issue I have ever experienced. I will be returning this product and issuing a serious warning to anyone interested in adding a little volume to their ends after heat styling. I had read reviews that Velcro rollers were generally difficult to remove, but I thought I was immune because I have straight, silky, fine hair. If anything, I thought they wouldn't stay in well! Please do not try this product. I'm begging you. Not even once. Not even one roller. No product has EVER destroyed my hair like this. Please learn from me!

They dry faster than other rollers I've had. I use a dozen; six in the largest size, and six in the second largest for a very fluffy result. Here's advice from the best stylist I've ever had who is Vidal Sassoon trained. If you have hair that is straight when wet, but air dries naturally frizzy/curly this is how to get the smoothest result: A wet set with large rollers! You'll never achieve as silky a result by blow drying. (All velcro rollers need to be unrolled rather than pulled out, or they'll tangle.)

This is not enough rollers to do a full head of hair, since the sections shouldn't be wider than the length of the roller. While the make is nice and they are easy on/off, an adult is going to need to buy 2 to 3 packs, at which point the cost goes with competitive with the drugstore options (allowing for the higher quality to mean paying a bit more) to really not very practical. For me, simply doing the mowhawk part of putting in rollers, while wonderfully fast, was enough to use everything but the two largest sized ones. And I do not have particularly thick hair.

I wanted to try these after seeing someone use them on istagram. I know I should not fall for the instagram reels, but it looked so cute! They rolled ok in my hair. I used them on dry hair. Taking them out was the hard part. I have very thin hair that breaks. I had to almost force on of them out of my hair, and breaking half of my hair. They are very hard to get out of fine.As I would love to save my hair from breaking I returned these. On the plus side they did give my hair more volume, but at the cost of breaking half of the hair. Maybe these work better on thick hair.
I've been using these for over a year, and I'm stocking up on a few more sets for travel. These are the best thermal velcro rollers since Conair stopped making theirs. My painfully thin but wavy hair gets great volume from these. As with all velcro rollers, be careful to ROLL them out of your hair, not pull them out. Pulling them results in the tangling and breaking that some users are complaining about.
I absolutely love these!! My hair has been so much better with them. I use after blowdrying to help set and give more lift and body, and I use for touchups.I have long hair past my elbows and I only use a small section for each roller, section smaller than the length of roller. I bought a second pack for when I want to do my whole head and not just top sections. The ceramic helps hold in heat and give you that bounce!I am careful and never have had an issue, they always give me great hair!
I was drawn to these because of their velcro properties with ceramic. However, if you have damaged or brittle hair, do not use these. The velcro is very strong and you really have to pull at your hair to remove them. Removing them is like pulling cactus burs out of your wool hiking socks. I think they work for a good-looking blowout but I probably won't use them every day.How do I use them? I use a tubular ceramic brush and divide my hair into a halo section. I use the curlers on the front of my hair and on the top of my head. I blow dry my hair straight up and then apply the curlers to sit and cool with some hair spray.
Personally I love these- yes the Velcro makes it a bit tough to take them out, the first few inches I just unroll them and then I'm able to slide them out. This is the only reason for 4 stars. Taking them out may be easier for people with finer hair. Also, I have highlighted hair and am used to flyways and breakage, so that doesn't really bother me, but I'm sure it could if you're looking for ultra-smoothness. I love big, bouncy hair and that's what I get with these. My hair is just above my shoulders, so I use the small ones at my crown, mediums in the middle and biggest on bottom. When they come down, it's all volume and bounce. The Velcro does work on its own in some places, in some places I use a clip. Overall, they've given me great hair that I love and I'll ... MorePersonally I love these- yes the Velcro makes it a bit tough to take them out, the first few inches I just unroll them and then I'm able to slide them out. For years I've struggled with getting my hair to hold a curl, volume, or any kind of shape. I've used curling irons, flat irons, and brush/blow dry. I've had varying degrees of success with the aforementioned, but NEVER consistent results. I knew rollers would be a good option for me, but I will admit -- I was lazy and never got them. Until about two weeks ago when I finally ordered these and let me tell you ... my hair has never looked better. Here's how I use the rollers: I separate my damp hair into chunks, blow out individual sections, and roll + pin immediately. Then I let the rollers sit for about 1-2 hours depending on how much time I have. When I take the rollers out, my hair has wonderful curl and volume, and it lasts! Then I let the rollers sit for about 1-2 hours depending on how much time I have. When I take the rollers out, my hair has wonderful curl and volume, and it lasts! And there aren't any weird "marks" from the curling iron or from a clip (my attempt at getting the curl to hold). Of course, it is winter so I'll be curious to see how they work in the summer, but I have high hopes based on the result so far.For reference my hair is medium length, naturally straight and "fine" but I have a TON of it which makes it hard to do it myself PLUS, it's heavy, so holding a curl is always a struggle. I bought two packages and always use 3/4 of them.
These are the best velcro rollers I've used. They stay in hair much more easily than others I've tried in the past, the thermal core helps with better heat distribution for a longer lasting curl, and they leave my hair looking sleek and smooth. However, they are VERY tricky to take out, and it's easy to get hair tangled up in the bristles. I've found that using twisting motion while pulling downward takes the roller out of my hair much more smoothly than simply trying to unroll it, even with my fine strands that tangle in everything. If it does get stuck, using the pointy end of a rat tail comb to dislodge hair from the roller can make it easier if you do find yourself not being able to get it out. Other than that, I really love the rollers and the gorgeous blowouts ... MoreThese are the best velcro rollers I've used.
