I have long, super thick hair. I have never found a clip in my life that could hold my hair until I found this one. Yes, it'Ûªs bulky. Yes, it'Ûªs heavier than other clips. But it friggin works!! If this clip doesn'Ûªt work for you, it'Ûªs because you don'Ûªt really have thick hair and this isn'Ûªt the right clip for you. I'Ûªve had mine for 3 years and it'Ûªs still in perfect shape and still looks brand new. I love it!!!!

Oh how I miss the butterfly clips I bought decades ago that were made from a type of plastic that wasn't brittle and with springs that had some hold to them. I still have a few of my "originals" left and they're holding up incredibly well. I've looked for good quality butterfly clips over the last few years to no avial - the only ones that are available at every store are the cheap, brittle-plastic kind. Those either crack easily or the springs come loose from the clip. I bought these with some hesitation, but am happy to report these are sturdy, made with a thicker and better plastic, and the springs are strong and look like they will stay in place for quite awhile.

This hair clip is FANTASTIC!!! It actually has a strong hold!!!! The wiring on the clip is very strong!!! Keeps my hair in place especially for thick hair!!!!! You simply can't find a high quality hair clip anywhere like this one!!! NOW I DO!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!

This is the only clip we've found for my daughter's waist-length thick hair that can hold it all up when she wants a messy bun type style on top of her head or to keep her hair off her shoulders and face when she's doing something rather than always wearing her hair in scrunchies and hair ties. Her hair is THICK, too, so this is taking a beating and hasn't broken. She loves it!
This clip is so sturdy. I have medium length thick hair and use this almost daily. It doesn’t hurt the back of my head like some clips tend to. If you have longer hair, you may need something bigger but honestly like I said this is a sturdy clip so it’s possible it could work for longer hair as well.
I can't believe this is marketed as a large hair clip. It's tiny! I have a clip from the drugstore designed for thick hair that is 3.5 inches long, 2.5 inches tall, and 2 inches wide, and it's not quite enough, so I figured I'd get a large one to hold all my hair instead of part. This clip is also 3.5 inches long and about 2 inches tall, but only about half the width. It'll hold a little swatch of my hair, but that's it. Probably large for someone with short and thin hair, but to me this is more of a medium size. I will probably be giving it away, because I can't use it... And it was so expensive!
I thought this was a fine size for a large clip, I noticed some other reviewers were looking for something larger and they do have a jumbo clip available but this was OK for me as I have very long but very straight fine hair. The only downside was that the matte finish is already coming off the wings of the clip where I have to hold it with my fingers to put it in my hair. So far I’m going to keep using it because I don’t think it’s noticeable from a distance.
I bought this clip about a month ago and haven't even been using it every day, but the matte texture is slowly coming off and revealing the shiny plastic underneath. It leaves little flakes of plastic in my hair, on my skin and everywhere. Not really that great to be leaving microplastic everywhere, much less for a product that claims to be "eco-friendly."
Comfortable and useful clip. This thing is strong, and does the job! Seriously it'll hold my thick hair (even when it's a bit greasy from working) without a problem. The only time I ever have to adjust is if I want to reposition my hair, not because of any slippage. Would highly recommend this!
I love Kitsch products so much. I have been looking for a hair clip that will grasp all of my hair when I'm washing my face or putting on makeup.
