Bigger and more heavy duty than I thought, which gives it a reassuring and powerful feeling in hands. And it is indeed. The tip is small enough to do some semi dedicated work. But you definitely need the beefyness to pull the electric wire through boxes, etc. Just as good as all the positive reviews

Had a nice knipex needle nose pliers for years until one of my boys bent the end and I was unable to fix them. Since I had some kline tools and have always been impressed with them, I decided to purchase these. Awesome needle nose pliers and definitely the best I've ever owned. And that's with 40 years of experience turning wrenches. Very smooth action, great alignment and extremely strong. You won't regret buying these.

I returned a pair of 8-inch Knipexs #2611200 pliers for these. The Knipexs handles were too small and made the tool feel very unbalanced in your hand. I was also concerned that the tips might break or bend because they were very thin. But these Klein's are a very "heavy duty" pair of pliers and are extremely well-made and one of the most comfortable pair of pliers you'll ever put in your hands. I also own the 6" version, which I have used for 10 years and they are still going strong with no problems. I recently purchased the 7" version and those are now my main "go-to" pliers for HVAC. These 8" versions will be going in a smaller bag that I have just for going on rooftops. Klein Is Where It's At.

Top quality with all their tools that I have ever bought from them. Klein is a quality name that I can always depend on. I needed needle nose pliers that would not bend open on the tips when clamping down. After suffering with lesser junk, I decided to look for a new pair. I came across Klein, and knew right away they would be the best before I even received them. I used to do electrical work, and we always used Klein tools, because they were the most reliable and out lasted all the others. So when I came across these, I knew I couldn't go wrong.
Klein makes great tools. It’s all my dad used as an electrician his entire life. I’m replacing all my worn out standard handle pliers with these. The wider handle doesn’t hurt your hand as much when you have to grip down.
I will preface my remarks by saying that I do not fault Zoro for any problems with this tool. They have always given me great customer service. After 40 plus years in business, I thought I was aware of who made the best tools for the trades. Klein has always had a reputation for making high quality electrical work tools.Upon receipt of these needle nose pliers from Zoro.com. I was shocked to see that Klein would ever put their name on a knock-off, piece of junk like these pliers. They look like something that one would purchase from a dollar store. They are not at all something that a professional electrician would pay around $40.00 for. I also had to email Klein's customer service department two times to get any response. The tips are not symmetrical. One is thicker than the other. Sent back one pair and the replacement was the same. Called Klein. They said this was normal but couldnt tell me why the tips were not symmetrical. Other than that, they are fine. Very robust.
These Klein J203-8N long nose pliers are the ones Ive used for many years and still carry them in my tool bucket every day. The one thing I really like about these pliers over the standard Klein long nose pliers is the #12 stripping notch in the center of the cutter. I first good use I found for it years ago was for cleanly stripping the rubber insulation off knob & tube wires without nicking the conductors or unravelling the woven outer covering. I also found it that it worked great on old BX wire for the same reasons. No nicking of the conductors or cracking the rubber insulation or unravelling the woven outer covering. The stripping notch also works great for #12 THHN solid and stranded wire that I seem to work with all the time. I do wish that Klein would make a ... MoreThese Klein J203-8N long nose pliers are the ones Ive used for many years and still carry them in my tool bucket every day. I do wish that Klein would make a Journeyman 2000 series version of these with the hardened cutters, so they could handle some heavier cutting tasks, but other than that, I really like the overall design of these pliers and will continue to use them on a daily basis.
Without a doubt its the best needle nose pliers Ive ever had. Its comfort coating provides a good grip which meant success in completing my task. They were worth the money I paid for it. Im glad I finally made the correct purchase. I recommend you get it if you are in need of a pair of pliers.
I bought this a few weeks ago for my electrician apprenticeship. It has easily worked its way up to one of my top most used tools. The handles are long enough to provide good leverage. The wire cutter is sharp. They are big pliers but still are able to wedge into tight spaces. 10/10
