After extensive online review research, I decided to purchase a pair of Klipsch RP-8000F IIs. Next was shopping for the best price. I ultimately found the best price at Visions. The speakers came within a few short days and after unpacking I found them to be in perfect condition. After hooking them up to my new NAD amp, and putting on some of my favorite blues and rock vinyl and CDs, I couldn't believe the sound!I was previously running a pair of bookshelfs with a sub - these Klipsch 8000s are absolutely fantastic! I've seen comments that, though these speakers sound great with rock and similar genres, they're good but not great with Jazz and Classical. While I'm sure there are speakers that are better, I am very pleased with how the RP-8000F IIs reproduce Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, and my favorite classical works as well as rock, country, bluegrass, and everything else I've thrown at them. They still sounded good at 6', but the separation wasn't as evident. And while some people don't like the vinyl "wood veneer", they seem like they'll be much easier to keep clean than a set of gorgeous Wharfedales that come with a set of white gloves because you don't want to get the oils from your hands on them!Unlike a lot of other speakers I've heard, they sound just as impressive at low levels as at high volumes. And, driving them with only 35 watts in a 26' x 21' room, I'm not getting past 6 or 7 on the volume control before they're LOUD. So, yes, they ROCK, but also deftly handle the more delicate, intricate sounds of acoustic music.At some point I want to pick up a better integrated amp for them - something cleaner, with a bit more power and damping for better control. If I'm remembering correctly, Colin Rogers demo'd them in the store for me with a Cambridge Audio CXA61, which showed me that there's more in them than I'm getting with the Hitachi, and that they'll bloom even more as I upgrade my other components. But in the meantime they still sound GREAT even with the Hitachi.And MANY THANKS to Colin for his patience as he handed me the pad and let me run through a large number of varied tracks while he switched between sets of speakers for me. I never felt rushed or that he had anything more in mind than doing whatever he could to help me make the kind of critical evaluation and comparison I wanted. He even brought in a pair of RP-6000F IIs from another room so that I could A/B them with the 8000s. (The 6000s also sounded great, but I would have wanted a subwoofer with them.)In short, my entire family is thoroughly enjoying these speakers. They're great 2-channel speakers that also work well for movies. They're very forgiving. And as I improve my other components, it will unlock even more of their wonderful characteristics.Finally, like buying shoes or boots, which I don't even consider buying online because I need to try them on and wear them a bit before deciding whether to buy, I recommend Colin, Dave Sailer, and the other folks at World Wide Stereo to you. This isn't the new car lot of audio stores. There's no pressure. They're patient. There's no feeling like a cat that's trying to escape the clutches of a toddler that won't let it go. On the contrary, my experiences have been that they're focused on doing whatever they need to ensure that we're able to determine what works best for us. And then they still have their return policy if, after all that, it doesn't actually work well at home!

Great speakers. They replaced my RF-3ii towers which have more of a presence with the highs, but the 8000Fii is more complete all the way through the frequency ranges. I received one tower with what seems to be punctures in the box and whatever it was nicked the back top edge of the tower. It almost looks like someone was drilling and the bit popped through whatever it was and made its way into the box. I colored it with a black marker and wood glued over the wound to protect. Aggravating!

Especially classic rock, but all genres get a beautiful audio presentation.So why did I get a pair of Klipsch 8000F II? Because I needed speakers that would play lively & dynamic for film playback. The 8000F II can play music well too, just different. Its sound stage is wide where speakers like the Lintons sound big. And the 8000F II sound is more specific & detailed to the point of robotic studio accuracy so every sound effect & thankfully every word of dialogue can be heard & understood. This was a big deal for us. The accompanying 504C II center helps to make this happen. The 8000F II has solid bass, not as hard hitting as the Lintons, but ... Replaced a smaller pair of bookshelf speakers that replaced a pair of towers. I thought the previous ones had a good sound stage, until I replaced the with these. What a difference that these made. For a “bookshelf” speaker the sound is amazing. Nice full range sound, even without the subwoofer. Add the sub and boom everything comes alive. Paired with a Marantz 7015, Klipsch SW120, and Klipsch SR 502’s. This is a very balanced system all around and don’t shy away from thundering movies. If there is a smaller space that needs a nice deep and clean sound I would recommend these for that.

There are two sets of terminals if you were to biwirefor high and low frequency output from amplifier A&B.terminals. A nice feature. I like the RP-6000 II as much as the RP-8000 II. The RP-6000 II have more of a frequency range than the RP-8000 II. Of course it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that a 6.5 in speaker does have as much bass as an 8 in speaker. The RP-6000 II has more bass than I expected. I am not trying to be cool and rattle the windows and set the neighbors car alarms off. First the manufacturer states the speaker is 8 ohm compatible. That will be at half power. The 2 channel stereo receiver I use is rated at 160 W per channel at 4 ohms load. I had the hardware of the amplifier set at 6 ohms. 2 channels driven at 80% power an almost smoked the amplifier. Going by the manufactures ratings without an O scope for a visual measurement. 2 channels driven 160 W 4 ohm amplifier @ 80% power approx 144 W the speakers have inaudible distortion. The RP-8000 II can only be driven another 10 W. Also the RP-6000 II dual binding post can be taken advantage of an easily bi-wired. By using 2 set of speaker wires per speaker. Using a 2 channel stereo receiver with A+B channels. Connect the A channel output to the speaker L binding posts. Connect the B channel output to the speaker H binding post. I have given more information than the manufacturer has. The manufacturer needs to pay me. Hope this information is helpful. Overall the RP-6000 II 2 way speakers are the best 6.5 in speakers I have heard. If you can find them 35% off they are well worth it.
I’ve had these speakers for a few weeks now and can easily say that they are an excellent pair of book shelf speakers. I have the speakers in a home theater setup powered by a Pioneer Elite VSX LX305. I performed the complete DIRAC sound calibration through the receiver and made minors tweaks to my liking. I’ve tested full Dolby Atmos movies, as well as two channel music from vinyl and streamed music via Spotify. Every source sounds great. The bass output is incredible and the mids and highs are very well controlled. The pair sonically blends with my SVS PB100 sub perfectly.
