Amazing speakers

These speakers are amazing. I upgraded them from the R-51M and was a little worried that with my entry level AVR driving 2 woofers it would have been hard on it and at normal listening volumes was I wrong. This speaker definitely packs a punch with clear crisp audio. Out of curiosity I was running this speaker as stereo and it sounds amazing, however having 2x 8" woofers is definitely not a reason to not have a sub woofer, I feel this speaker with my setup excels at high and mid range frequencies the most. I was also a little hesitant with this purchase being that this is a 2way speaker and not a 3 way speaker. I was blown away at how clear this speakers mids are and how smoothly it rolls off to my sub woofer. These speakers definitely have me looking at nicer AVR's ... MoreThese speakers are amazing. I currently have them in a Bi-wire configuration and am looking forward to being able to Passively Bi-Amp these speakers as I am sure they will impress me even more once I do that. Bi-wiring these speakers made the mids a little more crisp and clearer. These speakers all in all are one of the best investments I have made for my setup.

After extensive online review research, I decided to purchase a pair of Klipsch RP-8000F IIs. Next was shopping for the best price. I ultimately found the best price at Visions. The speakers came within a few short days and after unpacking I found them to be in perfect condition. After hooking them up to my new NAD amp, and putting on some of my favorite blues and rock vinyl and CDs, I couldn't believe the sound!I was previously running a pair of bookshelfs with a sub - these Klipsch 8000s are absolutely fantastic! Thanks Visions!

While I'm sure there are speakers that are better, I am very pleased with how the RP-8000F IIs reproduce Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, and my favorite classical works as well as rock, country, bluegrass, and everything else I've thrown at them. They also are working very well for movies streamed from my laptop, with the video going to our television and the sound through the stereo. These speakers are dynamic and produce plenty of bass, enough that I'm not considering a subwoofer. Dialogue in movies is clear and easy to understand, not veiled behind the sounds of other things going on at the same time. They reproduce well-recorded live performances very well. Allison Krauss and Union Station live from The Louisville Palace in 2002 comes through sublime. And the instrument separation and imaging are great. They are VERY enjoyable speakers. Yes, there are better speakers ... at twice the price!I've found them to be very forgiving. Our family room is not exactly audiophile. I'm driving them with a 35-watt Hitachi solid state receiver from the 80's. It didn't take long to get the toe-in (just a little) just right. And, though they're rear ported, I don't have to pull them a couple feet out from the wall. I will say that getting them at least 8' apart was a good thing. They still sounded good at 6', but the separation wasn't as evident. And while some people don't like the vinyl "wood veneer", they seem like they'll be much easier to keep clean than a set of gorgeous Wharfedales that come with a set of white gloves because you don't want to get the oils from your hands on them!Unlike a lot of other speakers I've heard, they sound just as impressive at low levels as at high volumes. And, driving them with only 35 watts in a 26' x 21' room, I'm not getting past 6 or 7 on the volume control before they're LOUD. So, yes, they ROCK, but also deftly handle the more delicate, intricate sounds of acoustic music. At some point I want to pick up a better integrated amp for them - something cleaner, with a bit more power and damping for better control. If I'm remembering correctly, Colin Rogers demo'd them in the store for me with a Cambridge Audio CXA61, which showed me that there's more in them than I'm getting with the Hitachi, and that they'll bloom even more as I upgrade my other components. But in the meantime they still sound GREAT even with the Hitachi. And MANY THANKS to Colin for his patience as he handed me the pad and let me run through a large number of varied tracks while he switched between sets of speakers for me. I never felt rushed or that he had anything more in mind than doing whatever he could to help me make the kind of critical evaluation and comparison I wanted. He even brought in a pair of RP-6000F IIs from another room so that I could A/B them with the 8000s. (The 6000s also sounded great, but I would have wanted a subwoofer with them.)In short, my entire family is thoroughly enjoying these speakers. They're great 2-channel speakers that also work well for movies. They're very forgiving. And as I improve my other components, it will unlock even more of their wonderful characteristics. Finally, like buying shoes or boots, which I don't even consider buying online because I need to try them on and wear them a bit before deciding whether to buy, I recommend Colin, Dave Sailer, and the other folks at World Wide Stereo to you. This isn't the new car lot of audio stores. There's no pressure. They're patient. There's no feeling like a cat that's trying to escape the clutches of a toddler that won't let it go. On the contrary, my experiences have been that they're focused on doing whatever they need to ensure that we're able to determine what works best for us. And then they still have their return policy if, after all that, it doesn't actually work well at home!

Great Speakers
23 January 2024

The Klipsch RP 6080 FA speakers are exactly what I was looking for to be the foundation of my new 13.2 channel set up. In addition to the other 11 Klipsch speakers that I have in the system, Im hearing things in familiar music that Ive never heard before. Getting every speaker, either used or open box, saved me well over $3000 which was also a side benefit of putting this package together. All, but one pair came from eBay. Anyone looking for a reasonably affordable home theater system should consider Klipsch speakers.

Coming from the immaculately designed Wharfedale Lintons, which produce a big & open warm musical experience. Audio heaven. Especially classic rock, but all genres get a beautiful audio presentation. So why did I get a pair of Klipsch 8000F II? Because I needed speakers that would play lively & dynamic for film playback. The 8000F II can play music well too, just different. Its sound stage is wide where speakers like the Lintons sound big. And the 8000F II sound is more specific & detailed to the point of robotic studio accuracy so every sound effect & thankfully every word of dialogue can be heard & understood. This was a big deal for us. The accompanying 504C II center helps to make this happen. Klipsch impresses w/o being overpriced.

The service was excellent. I purchased this product on the recommendation of audiophile YouTuber Andrew Robinson. Sadly, I was duped. The Klipsch plays loud, but it’s just “okay” sounding. It’s not bad, but I certainly would not consider it audiophile grade. Overall it’s a solid C+. Is it a harsh horn tweeter - actually no. Is it a mid-range hole, no - that seems okay. But knock on the box. It’s HOLLOW - HOLlow- hollow. Does that cheap hollow box make a cheap hollow timber? Yes it does.I toggled this speaker against (granted a more expensive) Polk 705. It was a drastic difference of clarity, detail and lifelike; and I didn’t want it to be. I wanted the Klipsch to be different but good. So, then I moved the Klipsch to the media room to toggle them against a vintage pair of staked original Advents (powered with a vintage Technics SA-600, 70 WPC). Well, again, the stacked Advents were demonstrably more enjoyable; more real with a more round and complete sound. If you’re a DJ these are good for a small venue. I’ve put them up for sale with an online auction site. I think people will tire quickly once the novelty of having something new wears off, and the ho-hum reality of their sound settles in - then they’ll be tons of these on the used market for less then half of what people paid new.

Those are older generation, but I would take them any day over any other speakers in the price range. Adorama had them for the lowest price on market, in stock, with free delivery. So here we go.Initially I wanted a plain stereo no subwoofer for more balanced sound, and man that was a right decision ! Confident, toned bass, and clear yet mellow, perfectly positioned highs. The sound stage is huge, fills the whole ~800 sqft double height living room no effort. Keeping them further away from the walls made any DSP correction excessive, even in this room with rather complex geometry and no audio preparation. In fact, they sound so great that even powering them off a mediocre audio amplifier delivers a next level sound. I wanted analytical, precise and warm sounding speakers to play everything from Classical to Jazz, from House to Future Funk, from Rock to the harshest Metal and live sessions. The whole scale pretty much.- The speakers also had to drive low, as I live in a flat and didn't want to get myself evicted by buying a Subwoofer. After spending a good five hours listening to various speakers in a shop, I was instantly hooked from the get-go as I heard the RP-8000F. How can these blow away competition that costs 2-3 times these and still be so precise? The analytical depth was out of this world at this price point.- For two hours I hammered everything I could at them and they came out without breaking a sweat. The analytical depth was out of this world at this price point.- For two hours I hammered everything I could at them and they came out without breaking a sweat. I was left with a smile on my face and frankly I felt like I didn't need anything except these two, a powerful Stereo Amp(to crank 100% out of them), and my days after work would be saved.I made the decision on the spot. Bought two and frankly if I'll ever go up from here, it's going to be the RF-7 III, or something from Klipsch.- Now you might ask how do these big towers work in a small flat? Perfectly. The big size of the drivers allow the music to "fill the air" across the flat. With the powerful amp, low volume allows you to play them "quiet", but as its making a lot of air move even with low volume, the music fills the room precisely thanks to the broad listening angles. The music comes out in such high quality, that even without sound-deadening, the "small room acoustics" seem to have been taken in to account when these have been engineered. You don't need to drive these hard to make them sound great.- For example: The Jazz live sessions sound like they're playing in my room, literally. You can hear every slide of the guitar, the bass caressing your skin with shivers, sax clear as the sky thanks to the speaker's superb horn, and as the vocalist sings the mellow blues, it's very personal.- Having owned them for two months I had to ask from my neighbors if they've heard anything, and nada. Nothing at all.Thank you, Klipsch! I didn't know this high quality speakers would be even possible at this price range!

Stunned. Because it is NOT what Klipsch usually makes. This speaker is remarkably neutral, smooth, and achieves excellent flat frequency response. There is just a small dip in the midrange, most likely and obviously due to the lack of a true mid-woofer, however, it really is a nit pick issue. When paired with the matching RP center channel, music listening is dramatic (I have the full RP system and separate in-ceiling for atmos). The center is pricey, but in my opinion, necessary. It fills the void of the midrange, and, it is almost like these towers were designed to be used together with the center (yes, they were) though I mean if you are looking for 2 channel audio, I would buy the center, too. These things are amazing and I shopped them against speakers costing much MUCH more (and I bought those too, trial ran, and returned). I never thought I would end up deciding on and owning these. Everyone is quick to give Klipsch the whole rock and roll speaker knock, but these are not that. These are hi fidelity beautiful speakers. Build quality is excellent. Again, I challenge you to find a better speaker for the price, especially when these are on sale often. I think these are a better package than the SVS Prime Pinnacle. Their graphical response also shows they respond better and my ears say they are virtually very close but there is a quality of the Klipsch I just cant put my finger on that gave them the W. I cannot get over how good of a product they have here, right down to the rock-solid metal base these are affixed and pre-installed to. They will blow you away. If you are not going into the upper echelon of home audio, and by that I mean a few thousand per speaker, these are really one of the best floor standing units around. Cannot go wrong. At all. I would say the best counterpart might be a Polk LSIM, however, these Klipsch units are much more ergonomic and slim. They will fit and place much easier. Plus, the beautiful "golden" look.
