There just a brilliant pair of pliers
Enjoy these little pliers for everyday diy jobs. Real handy for their size and quality build. Handles are comfortable and just right amount of grip.I will say the 180mm size is maybe a bit too small for really baring down on things. Would probably go for the 200mm version if I did it all over again.
None VDE , so slip into the pocket a bit easier , well insulated, but none voltage rated. Great knipex quality Great cutting and gripping power Strong but not too heavy Definitely an item for my everyday tool bag
Perfect pliers, superb quality, tight grip, cutter cuts 3 mm nails with ease.
These are well made and what I was expecting. The handles are much more comfortable than the pair I was using before. I think they were a great investment and will last a lifetime.
I ordered mine online through HD. The ordering process was easy and I received them quickly. Out of the box they looked as good as any of my other KNIPEX pliers and cutters. The first thing I noticed as I examined them was that the joint was really stiff. I’ve never had KNIPEX pliers that had stiff joint. All of my others feel like there is no slop or play in the joint but the joints are also very free moving and they require no break in period. Another thing that seems to be unusual about the pair I receved is the cutting edges seem to be softer than any of my other KNIPEX. After about a week of use I can see light between the cutting edges in several places when they’re closed. the jaw teeth show no wear but the cutting edges have only been used for some small ... MoreI ordered mine online through HD. In comparison to other KNIPEX tools I own, these are not performing even close to the way I expected, aside from the finish and ergonomics. I had contacted KNIPEX North America about my purchase with the stiff joint right away and they suggested I either return them to HD or soak them in 3-in-1 Oil. I needed to use them for work so I opted to try oiling and then stressing the joint by twisting the handles in opposing lateral directions during use. It helped but they’re still not what I’ve come to expect from KNIPEX. Otherwise, they are still use-able and since I need them in one of my mobile kits for my business, I’ll keep them, but I do wish I had the time to go without them so I could exchange them. Especially now that I’m seeing the cutting edges deform from light use.
