Knipex quality but note this plier is clearly indicated for cutting plastic sprues and soft jobs as it does cut very close and flush. The jaws are sharpened for close flush cuts, not beveled for metal wire. These are NOT "Heavy Duty Dikes". The handle clearly says "For Plastic" (in German).

I use these to get a clean flush cut on zip-tie ends when tying up wiring or hoses at work. The bent head works well when there is limited clearance and the straight style won't fit.

I've used these on 80% receivers, and they work very well. Easy to line up, and comfortable to squeeze hard. The quality of this tool is excellent. I will definitely look at Knipex for future hand tool needs. I always love finding quality tools that are not made in China.

These don't leave as soft a stub as twisting the tail off, but much faster than that and much less of a dangerously sharp stub than using a standard sidecutters.

I dropped a fortune on a similar thing like this off the tool truck. It never worked good, first one got overlapping blades, second one the same, third just doesn’t cut clean. So I bought another newer one for even more money. That one was so stiff I never used it, returned it. Gave up and bought this one. I’m glad I got the angled one, perfect for cutting zip ties clean and flush.
Pliers are good quality and sharp, does indeed nearly do flush cuts. Although it is 85 cutting edge. It also has a sideways bevel to the blades, this makes it not cut true to the center of the tool. This might be a manufacture fault.

Top-quality product, as are all Knipex tools. I purchased this cutter to trim nylon zip ties. These are NOT made to cut metal--the cutting jaws are too thin and precise to cut wire. However, they are perfect for trimming plastic and cutting the ends off zip-ties.
