From Panduit, to Phoenix Contact, to crimp dies in ratcheting crimpers...hell, even compared to other Knipex crimpers these are by far the absolute BEST ! I originally bought the 97 53 09 because of the wide range of sizes but longer feels l ferrules wouldn't go all the way in and you had to flip a lever on the side for the big guys. Not with these. These are easier to use, automatically adjust for larger wires, and the length of the ferrule is no longer a concern. I have 4 different sets of crimpers I got over the years and this is always the first one I reach for. The others I just let others use until they get their own.

Knipex tools above everything else, you absolutely cannot beat Knipex quality for tools and for the little extra they charge they are definitely worth it in my opinion. If I need a tool and Knipex makes a version I buy it, always. As to this specific model great quality, can square crimp from 26-5 AWG, can handle different length ferrules and the rotating head makes it possible to get into smaller areas that the straight jaw crimp design doesn't allow, very happy with these as I am with my bolt cutters, pliers, cutters, pipe wrench etc etc etc.
