All Knipex products are brilliant quality and value, the majority of my hand tools are theirs and have served me for years. I bought these to replace an earlier set that 'appears to have gone missing" and I could not have a blank space in my case. Just wish that I could have one of everything they make.

I'll never buy another brand / style channel locks again. These are light but extremely durable. The shape of the handles gives the most optimal grip. These are narrower than most channel locks that I have used, so you can slip them into tighter spaces. The nose itself is a little shorter without giving up grip area. The adjustment mechanism is made so that you don't have to open it wide to adjust. The work piece grip angles are versatile enough to grip just about anything without leaving major tool marks. I can't say enough good things about these. The only downside is the price - they are generally more expensive, but you get what you pay for.

After being a huge fan of channel locks for many years I lost my 430βs and a friend of mine loaned me a pair of 10β alligators. I used them for about a week and I wasnβt instantly impressed until went back to using channel locks. The differenceβs in leverage, grip, and action makes me think channel locks are obsolete. Love the fact that you can tighten up baskets on angle stops and valves without removing the handle or switching to an adjustable wrench. My knipex 10β alligators is the best tool I have ever owned and it rarely ever leaves my sight. P.S. Stop giving bad ratings just because it isnβt a push-button style . Push buttons are trash in my opinion

These are quickly becoming my favorite. They are a great little size, they will fit in my back pocket with the handle barely sticking out. However, they are surprisingly capable of getting jobs done that I formerly reserved for my 10" pliers. With a pair of these and and my Klein multi bit screwdriver I can fix ANYTHING! Well, almost anything :)
I work in a harsh environment so the Cobra's are really not an option. These will probably get sprayed down once a month or so with wd-40 to keep them rust free. This tool is extremely easy to open and close I actually prefer it to the push button that force you to change grip position. With some practice I get the feeling these can be open/closed with one hand.
These replaced my 426 and 430 ChannelLocks pliers. They're light weight, have amazing grip and their handles are molded onto the metal. They're not the dipped vinyl, so DON'T cut them off to use them as reamers. I'm a sparky(electrician) and these things work great for 1/2" to 1" connectors and couplings.
There is almost nothing better than a German made tool. You can feel the engineering that went into designing these pliers. They are perfect for most household chores. I use them for pulling broken lag bolts out of wood and reloading die lock rings. I havenβt had a single issue or complaint. These are made in Gemany with German steel. They are also very durable while maintains a lightweight feel. I can honestly put them in a back pocket and forget about them. The teeth are machined well and very sharp. The month is designed for pulling or pushing with a single hand.
This is a brilliant tool, has got me out of trouble many times so I'd say it's well worth buying. Great quality, strong (I've stood on them a few times to break loose the more stubborn nuts and bolts) so in all it's superb value for money. My work colleague was so impressed he bought one himself. It's also brilliant for unscrewing rounded nuts and bolts thanks to it's opposite facing teeth that give excellent grip.
Very capable tool - easily handles anything from a 1/4 inch bolt to 1 inch connectors. No slips and wobbles and just as easy to use as standard channel locks. Perfect for the majority of commercial electric work.
What can you say about Knipex products that hasn't already been said? These things are amazing. Durable. Handy. Versatile. This is the seven inch Alligators and they fit perfectly in your pocket or in a tool tray. I love the handle ergonomics which fit my sizeable paws perfectly. These pliers are a perfect fit for both large and small handed technicians. The jaws are aggressive and hold material securely in place. The bright colored handles are easy to spot even if they sink to the bottom of your tool cart or box. Knipex makes great products that will last long enough to pass them onto your son or daughter.
