Great cutters. They didn’t need a break in period, so they are perfect right out of the box. They have a lot more leverage than other options making them a lot easier to use.

I do a lot of automotive and house wiring every day, for the past 3 decades. Knipex is all I will use and buy-I have used all of the rest-GARBAGE in comparision.
I recently used this tool to cut the 4-AWG wire (power and ground) when installing an amp in my vehicle and I'll tell you what, after using this cutter to cut that wire, I'm convinced that if you have the strength in your hands, there's a lot you can cut with these cutters. I'm going to do exercises to get extreme man hands to see just how far I can take these cutters. Great tool.
I've had many cutters like this through the years, but this one seems to fit my hand better and cuts through tough materials easier than any one I've had so far. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Knipex hands down makes the best diagonal cutters. I have the first pair I bought 25 years ago when I was working. Got a new pair for all my DIY projects around the house. They just simply cut.
There's a use (n my hands at least) for pliers that can cut music wire. I've had a pair of German made pliers that I bought 25 years ago in England to do that job. While they still work, the cutting edge eventually winds up with small circular indentations. It was time to treat myself to another good music wire cutting pliers and this will do the job nicely for several more years.
