I use this product all the time, even on my own homegrown organic veggies. I think it's an essential item in a kitchen, particularly if you source your veggies from the supermarket or a fruit & veg shop. Just the thought of how many potentially 'unsavoury' hands have handled the food that I ultimately put on my plate, fills me with dread! It's no good just running it under a cold tap and hoping for the best. We are ultimately responsible for taking a proactive approach in our own health. This Koala Eco product is reliable and easy to use, and gives me peace of mind.

I like that there are very few ingredients. And of the ones included, there aren’t the usual offending substances like phlalates or sodium laurel sulfate. I usually use the vegetable cleaner from Trader Joe’s. This one smells better. I’m a little surprised Koala didn’t choose to use grapefruit seed extract and chose sodium benzoate instead. I looked it up on Wikipedia and Healthline. There’s a bit of a hubbub around its safety. The smell is very, very light. I could only smell it very faintly when my nose was directly up to the bottle. It smells of the slightest citrus, that’s all. When I wash my veggies, I don’t fill up the sink. I usually fill a big bowl with water and add a squirt. Lots of dirt does come off. What I care most about getting rid of are the waxes and pesticides. I hope this soap does a good job with those. The price is high for a veggie wash. I probably won’t repurchase.

This veggie wash works great for all produce.I let the produce soak for a bit and then scrub and rinse. Glad to find a product specifically to clean my fruits and veggies. I found this one to work much better than ones I find in stores.

I've been using fruit/vege wash for many years, as it gives a sense of reassurance. When choosing such an item that goes directly on the surface of something edible, you want to be sure it contains natural and non-toxic ingredients. This vege wash comes in a very nice looking bottle--you could even keep it near the sink and it won't be an eyesore. I've always used spray bottle delivery for vege/fruit wash, but this one has a pump. It's not an issue per se, but I do prefer a sprayer. It smells clean and fresh, but doesn't leave any discernable residue in terms of taste. The price point is a bit high compared to others I've seen on the market. But when it comes to safe non-toxic ingredients, it's worth spending a bit more--especially when it comes in a very attractive ... MoreI've been using fruit/vege wash for many years, as it gives a sense of reassurance. I bought this to try purely based on its great reviews. After using it a few times now, I am impressed. I like how it foams/soaps up but after rinsing, doesn’t leave a residue or taste. I have a toddler who loves fruit & veg so this type of product is an important daily addition to our household.
I didn't really know how much sediment/dirt was on fruit/veg until I saw a tiktok that showed me what was left after a veg wash. After seeing that I decided to try this product out. It is a lovely product and seems to remove excess dirt.It is a bit pricey, but it feels like a fun splurge, and makes washing my fruits and vegetables more of a pleasure than labor.
I picked up the Koala Eco Natural Fruit & Vegetable Wash - Plant-Based, Eco-Friendly, as I always wash my produce before consuming it unless it can be peeled, and thought I would give this product a try from my usual "veggie wash". I was surprised how many suds it produced, like dishwashing soap. It also didn't have a strong mandarin orange scent, or any discernable scent that I could tell. I usually use my salad spinner bowl to wash my produce because it's easy to soak and rinse using the colander within the regular bowl. I pumped 3 pumps of the Koala Eco Natural into the spray of water I was directing into the bowl, and swished it around for a few good turns to get all the product in and around the organic cauliflower pieces I was washing, and let it sit for about ... MoreI picked up the Koala Eco Natural Fruit & Vegetable Wash - Plant-Based, Eco-Friendly, as I always wash my produce before consuming it unless it can be peeled, and thought I would give this product a try from my usual "veggie wash". I pumped 3 pumps of the Koala Eco Natural into the spray of water I was directing into the bowl, and swished it around for a few good turns to get all the product in and around the organic cauliflower pieces I was washing, and let it sit for about 10 minutes. I then needed to rinse and rinse again, letting it soak with some agitation of my hand in the water to get all the product out. I guess my cauliflower wasn't too dirty, as I didn't see any discernable soil flowing with the water into the drain. I was a little bothered by how many suds this wash produced, and having to use both my hands to expel the wash into the bowl, so I'm not sure if I will buy this again, and also because of the higher price of this product.
This is my #1 vegetable cleaner. I have tried so many other brands and types of cleaners and none of them do as good as a job as this does.I like that it’s natural and leaves veggies noticeably cleaner to the touch and eye. I tell everyone I know and care for about this because everyone deserves to have healthier food. You will be shocked at how dirty your veggies are when you clean it with this.I typically fill my sink with all my veggies for the week and fill it up with warm water to the level of the veggies and put a few squirts which creates suds. I then massage and move the veggies around in the sink. I do this for a few mins as desired then drain and rinse a couple more times. It leaves my veggies squeaky clean! Thanks for a great product!
So far, this works great. It doesn't leave any after taste on the fruit (make sure to rinse the fruit after) and the water is nice and dirty after the wash, so I'd say it works! I also really like this brand. I have some of their household cleaning products, and they're good, too.
I've tried this on non-porous fruits and vegetables so far (apples, cucumbers) - not sure if it'll work for something like strawberries. It washes off easily from the smooth fruits and makes them visibly cleaner. The scent is of mild soap. I like that there aren't too many ingredients: cleaner, essential oil, and food safe preservative, and water. I'm not sure if this will win over my usual baking soda method, but I'm enjoying it so far.
