Aesthetically, it is a nice looking sofa. The colour and design are good.Objectively, I don’t like is the lack of lumbar support (the foam is too soft to hold its shape) which makes it uncomfortable to sit for a long time. In addition, the fabric started to peel off within 2 months. I am not going to shave it off as it is a manufacturing quality issue so the problem will continue in long term. It is not a sofa that is made to last.Overall, I am very happy with the delivery process and the ease of putting this sofa together. In the past, I have purchased a Koala coffee table and it is still a good product. This sofa purchase however was a mistake. I recently purchased the Koala couch, and I am thrilled with its comfort, affordability, and style. The cushions are plush and supportive, making it the perfect spot to unwind. The sleek, modern design and neutral colour palette seamlessly blend with my living room decor. Assembly was a breeze, and I feel I received excellent value for my money. The Koala couch is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a high-quality, budget-friendly couch that doesn't compromise on style.

Delivery was fantastic, I actually couldn't believe they were able to pull it off in such a short time in amidst the chaos of the Coronavirus - but they did! 3 hours is all it took!In terms of putting it together, it was relatively straight forward. Some parts of the wood could have done with being a little better finished as I could have gotten a splinter if not for being careful. Additionally I felt that a lot of people wouldn't tighten the knobs enough when putting the couch together, as when putting it together with my sister I had to go over the things she'd tightened to give it that extra half turn - something that could be done by her if she had a small tool that provided the right amount of leverage. It was very simple though, only looked quickly at the instructions once to ensure each section was put together in the right order. In terms of comfort, it's quite good. I personally prefer a couch that's a little softer that you sink in to and can fall asleep on within 2 minutes, but my sister loves them because they are both soft and firm and provide you with a reasonable amount of support. That said, it would be nice for the back cushion to be a little higher to provide some neck/head support. The fabric itself is okay... my sister and I both agreed it could be softer and less scratchy - but we do have quite sensitive skin which does affect our judgement. After 2 weeks though, we are getting used to the fabric.Overall for the price, delivery, and simplicity of putting it together, I would give this couch a 4.5/5 - which rounds up to 5!

Comfy, great colour and heaps to make our room feel inviting. We got the two seater and the three seater in blue so they match really well. The back tests are not super high. But one thing I love is the way you can flip the back cushions so that when they start sagging slightly you can flip them over and the zipper doesn’t even look bad at all.If you’re looking for a sofa that is easily washable it’s great! I’ve definitely split liquid on the cover and taken it off immediately to wash it.
The couch is great, very cozy, great balance of soft and firm. Good seat depth for sitting cross-legged/tucking my feet up. Recently we got a bit of blueberry jam on it and it came off no worries with a damp microfibre cloth - no stain!Product is great, service leaves something to be desired. We got the wrong colour (ordered khaki but looks like we got choppy waves), however we are okay with the colour so didn't bother returning/swapping it. We also ordered the 'to the room' delivery option (which is more expensive than the doorstep option), and ended up with it being delivered to our door rather than the room, AND helping the delivery driver unload our order as it was just one person and he needed help as some of the boxes are pretty big and need two people to ... MoreThe couch is great, very cozy, great balance of soft and firm. Perfect compact sofa for a small living space. Super easy to assemble. Took at most, 20 minutes. Pretty lightweight, but definitely sturdy. Cushions are comfortable and firm, and despite being a two-seater, it could easily sit three people with ease. Maybe even four. Very happy with my purchase, and would highly recommend this to anyone. Especially for the bonus turtle.
I would buy from koala again, definitely. However buying something as personal and body-specific as a sofa without being able to see or try it, is high risk. As such, I feel that if we were able to try other sofas models in the koala line up, we might have found something slightly more suitable long-term. I do like the design and colour, the foam is nice, material is slightly rough but seems to be hardwearing and I can confirm stains clean quite easily from it, so I don't mind it. Only real issue is my partner and I are not so tall (~167cm) and the cushions are a bit deep, meaning our legs don't comfortably reach the floor unless we slouch at an angle (not good for your back). So while it's good for now, I don't think ergonomically it suits our bodies, and therefore ... MoreI would buy from koala again, definitely. This couch is super comfy and spacious (proven by the fact that I keep falling asleep on it).The material and colour also exceeded my expectations, its a great looking couch and was relatively easy to assemble. For us, one of the biggest advantages is that the front door to our home is small, and the Koala team are absolute wizards with packaging. The couch and ottoman came in 4-5 boxes, each small enough to fit. This was a life saver as our choices were limited with the size of our door. Because of this i'd like to say that we are super pleased with out purchase and the thought that went into this product.
The sofa arrived quick and well boxed. The sofa was beautifully packaged, right down to where the bolts/gumnuts were hidden. The sofa is beautifully presented, and super easy to assemble. All components are zipped away out of sight, but easy to get to if you need to retighten. The design makes it easy to clean under cushions (Ie crumbs and loose change).Quality is something I’m already starting to question on assembly. The colours of the legs didn’t match, with one (of 6) being noticeably darker than the others (5 others lighter and matching each other). There is a pull in the material at the back of the sofa upon un icing, so shows there is little to none quality inspections of the material.Havent contacted koala to discuss issues, as we have just commenced the ... MoreThe sofa arrived quick and well boxed. Which doesn’t allow me to provide a sufficient review based on use or longevity.
I've had my Koala sofa for just under a year now, and I've gotta say, I'm not at all impressed.Firstly, yes, assembly is quick, it's easy and delivery is obviously SUPER quick. Bravo for that! The sofa is pretty comfortable, and a few house guests have slept on it and have absolutely loved it. The base is the perfect size for a single mattress protector and sheets for sleeping, which is very convenient. So why the low rating? Because the upholstery is absolute garbage. My $1200, 11 month old sofa looks like a ratty piece of trash that's spent 10 years in a student party house, which is frankly just embarrassing. I've painstakingly shaved the fabric on multiple occasions, I've followed all the care instructions to a T but no no avail. I've painstakingly shaved the fabric on multiple occasions, I've followed all the care instructions to a T but no no avail. It just looks like trash.I recently emailed customer service and the first person I heard from said: "I can see that you have our Version 1 sofa. We have since made better upgrades to the sofa. Pilling included. Please fill out the form below and request an upgrade free of charge ;)". Awesome, I thought! I filled in the form, took photos and waited... the reply I got (from a different customer service representative) said "Our team are monitoring this closely, however at this stage, pilling only occurs for a total of 4% of our customers and as it can be difficult for us to monitor how our customers behave with their furniture and the different environments (i.e. kids, dogs, etc), we're unable to pinpoint exactly why this happens for some customers and not others. We usually would send you a fabric shaver from Koala HQ, but we're currently out of stock of the items at the moment. However, I'd absolutely love to offer you a refund of $20 so you're able to go out and grab yourself a little fabric shaving tool so anytime you notice the pilling you can just zip it over your sofa plus a little extra so you can grab a coffee on us for having to duck out. This can also be purchased online.".So in under 24 hours, I essentially went from being happy that Koala had recognised the issue with the pilling (and obviously other issues with the sofa that I'm yet to encounter) and were offering me a replacement to being offered $20 for a fabric shaver and a cup of coffee. What on earth? As I mentioned in my emails I ALREADY OWN A FABRIC SHAVER and have to use it on this couch frequently.I'm really angry, and if you've just bought yourself one, I implore you to send it back during the trial period, because this sofa ain't worth the $$ at all!
