Kodak PIXPRO AZ252 Astro Zoom Bridge Digital Camera Black KOD721
With an 25x optical zoom and 16.15MP resolution, the black PIXPRO AZ252 Digital Camera from Kodak is a versatile point-and-shoot camera that captures high quality stills and video. It utilizes a 1/2.3" CCD sensor with a sensitivity range of ISO 80-3200 to produce pictures up to 4608 by 3456 pixels, as well as HD 720p video at 30 fps. This is complemented by an expansive 4.3-107.5mm lens, with a 35mm equivalent focal length of 24-600mm, that can produce wide landscape shots as well as capture far away subjects without losing resolution to digital zoom processes. An optical image stabilization system is built into the camera to help keep pictures sharp while shooting handheld, producing better results in low light situations. On the back of the camera is a 3-inch 230k-dot LCD display that allows you to view images while you shoot them and scroll through them after capture. A built-in flash is found at the top, with modes available for red-eye reduction and slow sync. Switch between 22 different scene modes for simplified shooting, with options available for fireworks, the beach, museums, and many other situations. The AZ252 is powered by four AA batteries and saves images to a user-supplied SD/SDHC card up to 32GB in capacity.

Camera is fine and works well , However would buy at the store ,because mine was missing USB cable . Box did not have a seal on it ,so who knows where cable went . Emailed Kodak ,If no reply in a few days will have to take back , exchange for new one . So just a waste of my time . But camera otherwise is nice .No ton of bells and whistles that you never use . Takes 4 AA batteries , which are cheaper then replacing a specific camera battery . I bought 4 rechargeable batteries with charger and 4 extra batteries for 1/2 the price of a camera battery .

Purchased this camera at the Manassas store. Opened the camera at home and found that the interior of the box hed been torn open. The camera had batteries installed and appeared as it had been used.Returned it to the store for a refund, then decided to buy the remaining Kodak camera. I opened the box before I made the purchase and found that the camera appeared to have been opened.

The photos are sharp all the way through the optical zoom of 25 to 1. Like all digital zooms the maximum zoom is a bit soft, but usable. If you stay within the 25X optical zoom range it is good enough to take your cousin's wedding with! Each photo is about 4 megs in size. The video is 1280 x 720 dpi, and it is nice and crisp. The color is very good in both movie and still images. The camera comes with batteries, but no SD card. I recommend purchasing a 16 or 32, or even 64 gig SD card. This camera also works very well with rechargeable batteries. I got 120 photos and 10 minutes of video with one set of Ni-MH rechargeables.Make sure you download the manual as a paper copy is not included. There are 6 buttons on the back. A red one for video on/off. The top right is your MENU button. Click it and navigate through the many options.Be sure to set under the MENU your photos to be BEST. It comes set in 640x480 mode (FINE). The BEST gives you a full 16 megapixel image. It makes a difference. It also has a FORMAT CARD feature under MENU.The lens cap won't stay on like a lot of Kodak cameras, but... if you will take a box cutter, make three 1/2 inch long strips, and put a tiny strip of duct tape just in the rim of the lens cap 120 degrees apart on the insides, it will fit like a glove!Overall it is well worth the investment. Just remember to purchase an SD card here at Walmart and you are ready to go.Use a paint program, or free image utility like IrfanView to make any color corrections you deem necessary.
For a starter camera and if your getting into photography this camera will do.It has many features plus manual so you can go in and adjust the settings for better pictures.Got it and same day took a pic then had it on my phone and posted it to social media. (I had a laptop to transfer photo)
My old digital camera finally gave it up, so I found this Kodak AZ252and after reading the reviews and the specs I ordered it. It arrivedon time and well packaged. The best part was opening the cameraand starting to check it out. I was very pleased with the weight andbalance of the camera.. The depth of field was quite nice and thepictures were sharp and clear. So0 far I have been using the AUTOsetting because of time crunch. I will be experimenting with theother settings when time permits. I am very happy with thiscamera and would recommend it to anyone.
Great system camera for children. Bought as present for 8-year old daughter. It has lots of settings including proper manual mode, where iso, aperture and shot time can be adjusted, it has working light sensor, lots of modes, can do good video. As of batteries, indeed it needs good AA batteries - no difference to li-ion batteries of "proper" dslrs. I use 4gen enerloops, they are affordable.Negatives: I highly doubt it has 16mp sensor. It will goes down to forced 4mp once shoot time is faster than 1/500. The photos it shoots in 16mp mode at 100% zoom I can clearly see artifacts that make me think of upscaling. But even with 4mp, its great reliable camera for learning basics of photography.
The camera takes nice pictures once you learn all the settings. Make sure to use re-chargeable batteries. Regular ones don't last very long. One problem I would like to resolve is the display screen. In bright sunlight hard it to see the object you are taking a picture of. If anyone else has figured out how to make the screen brighter for taking pictures, please post?

It is a lesson in defective design that has made it past every internal KODAK Product Review while being complete Garbage.
