This toy is amazing, my 9 year old cat loved it and wouldn't stop playing with it. However, after 10 mins of playing with it the tail fell off already and I had to retie it back on multiple times. After 2 weeks, the tail had fallen apart. I wish they sold the tail separately so I could buy it!

My cat is obsessed with this toy so much that she drains the AA batteries every few days.I would give this more stars if it worked on carpet- it only swings the "tail" around in a circle and the ball remains stationary. Works as described on hard floors.

My old cat likes this a lot but it's gone through 6 batteries in 2 days because we've realised it doesn't switch off after 15 minutes as advertised plus we can't manually switch off it off because the little button for this doesn't work. We've resorted to taking the batteries out every time to stop it wasting them and putting them back in for a while every few hours. This is annoying and not the self play toy we were after as it still requires lots of intervention from us.

I have very energetic kitties that need to be entertained or they will destroy the house.This gives them something to watch and be fascinated by. However it spins so fast they are a little intimidated and the buzzing noise is a bit annoyingly.It also doesn't wobble on carpet.When I turn it off they still will bat the feather around a little so that's good.Not bad for the price and at least it actually works.
I saw the reviews on Youtube and decided to try it with my cats. I have two cats, one has a very social personality while the other is more shy. To my surprise both of them are interested in observing the toy but they only play with it once it stops. It seems that the vibration and movement of the ball does not invite them to 'hunt it on the spot. However, it does entertain them for a while as they get intrigued by it. It is less noisy than othre appliances but it is not silent, so if your cat is noise sensitive, this is not for you.The 'tail' is a huge success, so I sometimes use it without the ball to get the cats used to it.On the down side, the ball is unable to move on carpets, so it is only good if you have hard surface floors.
My cats LOVE this toy, and the design is amazing. Unfortunately, the worm rips apart easily and is not safe for cats. Once my cat bit it, the toy started throwing pieces of the worm around. I kept picking them up and tying string around the end in a knot to keep the worm in tact, but it didn’t help. My cat kept finding pieces of fuzz at night and eating them and throwing up. Now I’ve removed the worm pieces and tied a string instead. The toy itself is amazing but I would recommend highly switching the worm for something else.
I tested the tail first to see if my cat was interested. She loved it! But once I put it on the ball the tail spins around way too quickly that my cat freaks out and isn't interested. It's also quite loud which she also didn't like. The ball didn't roll around as advertised either, it just spins in circles in the same spot.
Great concept and our small cat absolutely loved this but within minutes the yellow tail was in bits, which would have been ingested except I was there to grab them. The plastic connector was also looking ropey.Unfortunately without being able to buy a replacement tail without forking out for the whole piece we are left with a nice sparkly but useless base.
My 7 month old kitten loved this when I brought it home, but mine seemed to stop working randomly every couple of minutes & the tail was being ripped to pieces after only 10-15 minutes play! It's a shame as he really enjoyed it while it lasted. Sometimes I feel like I'm being ripped off with cat toys, you can pay a fair bit of money to help keep your cat entertained, and they never seem to last very long!
