I’ll add a picture once I find the darn thing, but if you have a pup who destroys nearly every toy, this is not the one for them. I have a pitty mix and a beagle aussie mix and honestly the beagle is worse than the pitty when it comes to ruining toys. This did not last long. I gave it to them and they played normal at first and then started eating at it like it was a bone. I took it away for a few weeks. They were fine with it and didn’t pay much attention but when they did it was the same picking off the small rubber bits. Kong has some good products but unfortunately this wasn’t tough enough. My dogs tore this up to bad into the smallest little rubber pieces and they were everywhere. Be careful of your dogs swallowing them. I’m pretty sure the toy has 2 layers ... As an owner of a female toy poodle, I've had the pleasure of giving her the Kong Extreme Dog Pet Toy Dental Chew, and I have to say, I'm really impressed with this product. Here's my review: First of all, I appreciate that this toy is made with extreme durability in mind. My toy poodle can be a bit of a chewer, and she loves to gnaw on things, but the Kong Extreme Dog Pet Toy Dental Chew has held up really well. It's made with a tough, durable rubber material that's designed to withstand even the most aggressive chewers. When it comes to dental health, this toy is great for keeping my dog's teeth clean and healthy. The unique shape of the toy allows for it to be filled with treats or peanut butter, which encourages my dog to chew on it for longer periods of time. ... When it comes to dental health, this toy is great for keeping my dog's teeth clean and healthy. The unique shape of the toy allows for it to be filled with treats or peanut butter, which encourages my dog to chew on it for longer periods of time. This prolonged chewing helps to scrape away plaque and tartar from her teeth, which can help to prevent dental issues down the road. Another thing I appreciate about this toy is that it provides mental stimulation for my dog. It's important to keep your dog's mind engaged and stimulated, and the Kong Extreme Dog Pet Toy Dental Chew is a great way to do that. My dog loves to work at getting the treats out of the toy, which keeps her occupied and entertained for a while. Finally, I appreciate that this toy is easy to clean. It's dishwasher safe, which makes it easy to sanitize and keep clean. This is important since my dog is constantly putting things in her mouth, and I want to make sure that her toys are as clean as possible. Overall, I highly recommend the Kong Extreme Dog Pet Toy Dental Chew. It's a durable, effective toy that's great for promoting dental health, mental stimulation, and overall enjoyment for your furry friend. If you're looking for a high-quality chew toy that will last a long time and provide benefits beyond just chewing, I would say this is a must have for any pet parent!

I have bought three Kong toys over the years. They last FOREVER! All of my dog loved them! Sometimes they just like to roll it around on the floor and play with it.. even without any treats inside! I have put different types of treats inside…milkbones, smaller chewy treats ( ex.mini bacon strips ), and of course peanut butter!! The Kong entertains for longer when you freeze it with peanut butter or the Kong filling. It’s great to give your pets before going to work or leaving the house for awhile….Keeps them busy!!! Just be sure to only use REGULAR PEANUT BUTTER!!!! NOT SUGAR FREE, because the sweetener is EXTREMELY TOXIC to dogs!!! I wash it by hand after using with any type of treat. Both of my Corgis love their Kongs. We use them often as an alternate way to serve meals, or for relaxation and mental stimulation. If I’m aiming for the latter (really holding their attention for a period of time) I like to stuff the Kongs with sugar free peanut butter, mashed banana, or puréed pumpkin or carrot and add in treats, chunks of string cheese, etc. and then freeze it! The filling being frozen makes the task of getting it out more challenging. If I’m just using the Kong to feed a meal I’ll usually put their food inside and then ‘seal’ it with a bit of peanut butter. Either way they’re a hit and are in regular rotation for us. The classic Kongs are great, but won’t stand up to your pup if they’re a chewer. We needed to upgrade to the black tougher Kong ... MoreBoth of my Corgis love their Kongs. I have two dogs, one staffie mix and one lab/shepard mix. Both super crazy chewers, determined to destroy anything and everything. My older dog, the lab/shepard, has the most curious mind. If it was up to him he’d play with puzzle toys all day long, but unfortunately he destroys most of them. Not the Kong though! We’re going in 2 years strong and he hasn’t chewed it up. It’s also his favorite toy by far. We love trying out new ways to stuff it - peanut butter, bananas, yogurt, fruit, treats, and freezing it too! It’s the only toy that keeps him busy for longer than 15 minutes, and it’s a lifesaver when you have a toddler running around at home too. Buyer be aware, my toddler ended up needing his own because he loves it so much too!!
Amazing! Amazing at entertainment for my dog. Love how we can stick big treats in there and keep him busy whenever we have to leave the house. I think it's a must for training your dog. Be sure to replace it whenever there is damage. As I know a friend's dog had a piece of Kong stuck in his intestine and had to get surgery to remove it. So best to keep the toy until you notice any wear or tear. I like how it has multiple sizes and has really good durability.. this is a really good investment for your dog! We have found many creative ways to entertain our husky/German shep/malamute mutt who has high energy and high affinity to treats. 10/10 would recommend. There's also some Kong specific treats you can find meant to fit into the toy to make it very difficult for the dog to remove it. We like that there is a lot of creative ways to use it. We had two on rotation for when our puppy was teething and needed a lot of attention. Frozen treats allowed for the pup to work on the kong. We use it at home mainly but we do bring it over to our friends house when our dog is staying the night because we are out of town. It's just another tool they can use if they find he needs to calm down and focus instead of rambunctious and playing.
A massive fan of Kong Extreme products. Perfect for the extreme chewers. Have a number of other extreme Kong products, and whilst there is some chew damage, that is after hours and hours of chewing fun. This tradition Kong Extreme black large is no different. Only had a week, so only early days, but it's quickly become our boys favourite. So far not a scratch on it. Would definitely recommend this range of products for any tough chewers. Our boy loves them and it's one of the very few so called "tough chew toys" that has actually withstood an actual tough chew. Awesome product.
You needed a bigger size. Generally, I would recommend sizing up once or twice anyway. The smaller ones are too small and not as thick of material therefore easier for any size dog to tear up. Additionally, if the toy isn’t full of snacks, take it away. Don’t let them chew on the toy itself just as a chew toy. That is another reason why the toy may get damaged. If the dog is focused on getting the snack out, they’ll be much less focused on destructive behaviors and tearing things apart. If you have a puppy, remember they teethe and it HURTS. They self sooth by chewing. Give them things it’s okay to chew on/destroy like Nyla bones (which seriously last forever even in strong determined breeds). They self sooth by chewing. Give them things it’s okay to chew on/destroy like Nyla bones (which seriously last forever even in strong determined breeds). Last thing to mention, is that if you really want to go with indestructible, prefer something that’ll keep them busy for a lot longer periods of time, then get the weighted feeder kong balls. I put some dog food into ours along with some soft small very strong smelling treats and my dogs work on this for HOURS. It’s how they get their meals or at least part of their meal each day. You can fed the whole meal this way if you want. They come in different sizes but the biggest size has worked perfectly for all of my dogs (weights range from 35 to 150lbs). They knock it over and the snack or treat falls out of a little hole. Then they keep working on it little by little, it’s really a great option for keeping them distracted! Just be sure to take it away when they’re not using it anymore so they don’t learn to guard it. This is true with any toy, treat, bone, or food. Offer a few times a day then take away when they’re no longer interested. Free feeding is one of the worst habits to start and makes it difficult for owners to tell quickly when something is off with their pet. I learned this the hard way! (Google this if you don’t believe me) I would still consider these Kong balls to be indestructible IF you use them properly. I have huge, strong dogs, a sharp toothed and very busy heeler and both have had theirs for 4 years without incident and not even a puncture mark into either one. I filled with “mini” milk bones and broken in half “small” milk bones but just read another reviewer said they freeze theirs with pnut butter and treats inside. Sounds messy but sounds like a great idea! Cant wait to try! Hope this helps!
This is the old classic rubber Kong dog toy. I have the regular size and the small size for my boxer and for my Boston terrier. Its shape causes it to bounce in random directions. My dog absolutely loves this toy. I've put everything in that thing. I have broken up some single ingredient treats and stuffed them in Kong. Definitely buy multiples so that there are some in the freezer ready to go on those hot days or on those days that you just need a little time to get something done while your dog is occupied. All in all I completely recommend these toys for all dogs of any shape and size.
