Not terrible. Not great.It's nice and chew resistant, and great for tug-of-war. but it's a bit heavy and so doesn't hang in the air particularly well. Medium sized dogs will not be able to catch it and my Kelpie struggles to reach it before it falls.It's a little bit too flexible for throwing as well. My dog still likes it but I wouldn't re-buy.

Nearly all other flying Disc, frisbees, cause bleeding gums in the mouths of our dogs, but the thick rubber Disc manufacturered by Kong is safest and much easier on the gums and teeth, compared to hard and rigid plastic. The floppy rubber of the Kong Disc Flyer actually promotes great flights and the ability to produce interesting more flights and the Disc actually will recover from a poor toss/throw about 40% of the time, straightening/flattening out in mid flight for a better result. Our American Shepherds, aka Frisbee Dogs, are appreciating the different challenges presented with this gum friendly disc/frisbee. Our program will promote this toy as the safest alternative that we have located to date, 5/'21. Definitely recommend

Absolutely the best Frisbee on the market. Extremely durable and lasts 100 times longer than any other frisbee I've had for my dogs. Also the soft rubber is great because it's gentle on the dogs teeth and gums. 100% recommend this. My dogs are obsessed with it.

This frisbee is a little heavy, so I would think it is not really a small dog toy. We also thought it wouldn't fly well because of its flexibility, but it goes the distance. Our kelpie x arab loves chasing it down, catching, thrashing it around, and a bit of tug. Of course, it's a fetch toy, not a chew or tug toy, so we discourage chewing or tugging with it and it is in good nick after 18 months. We would buy another when this one is finally damaged or lost.
We have been purchasing these for a while now. Our dog is obsessed with frisbee and we were always on the lookout for something that would last. In the process, we found a durable one however one day realized her mouth had been cut while playing. This flyer was a little awkward for me at first with it being floppy as opposed to a typical frisbee. Once I got used to it, it worked just as well and we've not gone to any others. She has chomped on it and they have still lasted for a long time. She doesn't chew up her favorite stuff though. If your dog likes to chew up things, obviously you might want to put it up until play time. It's not something you would want to leave with heavy chewers. It's definitely a great frisbee/flyer.
My kelpies love this frisbee! I take it to the local park almost every day for a throw & it flies pretty well & is durable. One likes to try a bit of tug of war / destroy it and after about 12 months has finally torn it slightly. Still flying pretty well but I'm going to get a replacement. For context, other frisbees last a few weeks? this one is definitely worth it! Much softer on their teeth/mouth than other types.
Keava loves it! It’s practically indestructible; she fetches it and chews on it to her heart’s content. It’s soft, so it doesn’t hurt her mouth when she catches it on the fly. We have found Kong rubber toys in general are the safest to give our strong chewer Lab pup.
My Chesapeake Bay Retriever loves these. She always tears out the center of it, leaving only a red ring. This part doesn't fly very well, but we still use it. I stay under our porch and throw it out into the yard on rainy days. They fly great when not having the center taken out.
Jilly (border collie/kelpie) found her first Kong Flyer in some long grass. It is her Very Favourite Toy. It was slightly damaged when she discovered it and since she has to ensure it's quite dead after nearly every catch, the tears have increased a bit. Her excitement on seeing this toy is a delight to see. I will order another when necessary, but I hope the new one lasts just a little longer than the second hand one.For a rescue pooch she has landed on her paws.Only one request: please make them a little less shreddable - hence the 4* not 5.
Unfortunately this isn't as Staffy proof as I would've liked. Only took 10 minutes to get a chuck out of it. I bought this one instead of the black extreme based on the reviews but unfortunately I've ended up doing my money here. The ball is a much better option for chewers.
