I was so excited to find another medium ball that squeaks by Kong. My dog only likes squeaky balls and the Kong Squeeze ball is his favorite. The signature balls say they squeak right on the package and in the description. The balls are hard as a rock! I was unable to make them squeak putting my full weight on them! I was so disappointed. I went to a lot of trouble waiting for them to be shipped and now have no new acceptable balls

I’ve been purchasing Kong balls from Chevy for years for our German Shepherds, always medium size and never had an issue. I purchased a few of these Signature Balls to try and my two 6 months old Shepeards loved them. The ISSUE with these is the material they are made from. Once the dogs put them in their mouths, they become super slippery. Last night our female GSD swallowed the ball and it got stuck on her throat. She started to try to cough it out and it didn’t come out. I immediately tried to remove it but she kept fighting me off. We were all panicking. As she still had strength in her, she kept trying to scrub her mouth on the ground while I was trying to stick my hand into her mouth. As she still had strength in her, she kept trying to scrub her mouth on the ground while I was trying to stick my hand into her mouth. When she finally lost all her power with her tongue turning blue from the lack of oxygen, I was finally able to stick two fingers into her throat. The ball was so slippery I could not removed it. I then squeezed her throat with my left hand pushing ball out if her mouth while sticking two fingers of my right hand into her throat and pulling it. Finally I was able to pull the ball out. Her heart was. It beating and I massaged her chest profusely. It finally started to beat again. She slowly regained consciousness and came back to us. My hand was all cut up and blood was everywhere.DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BALL.Chewy company, this is my plea for you to stop selling this dangerous product.Again, it’s NOT about the size of the ball (even though from this point on I’ll only purchase large size ones) but tather how it becomes super slippery once wet.

Our new 14 month old working dog zEvan is a handful, and a power chewer. Lots of toys have not worked out, seemed unsafe, or been quickly destroyed. We have learned to rely on Kong. Puppy zEvan has another red ball but the minute he got this one, it has been his constant companion. We’ve had it almost 2 weeks and he even falls asleep with it in his mouth.Size Matters: zEvan is 25 pounds but with a hound dog mouth. We first tried the large ball but it was too big. The medium ball is perfect.

Our goldendoodle can destroy nearly anything in a matter of minutes; but, not these balls! He loves them. They are a perfect size to prevent swallowing and the squeaker is conveniently placed so that he can't pull it out. This is a our second order for them because he plays with them so much, they just finally needed replaced.
I have standard poodles and they are hard on toys. This ball lasted 1 week with my aggressive chewer. I would however recommend this toy for those that don't tear apart stuffed animals or tries to bite the toys. The non aggressive chewer has had his for nearly 6 weeks now. I do however only give him the toy while being supervised. Good price
The brand Kong pretty much stands for relatively Industructable...this was ripped at the seam in 1 day. To be honest, you really cant see the seam or perhaps I missed it because in all other ways this felt and looked like a typical KONG toy ...but I missed the fact it squeaks and that is why I am giving it 2 stars, in order to squeak it would have to be "chewable".Most people order from their phones..the blurb about the squeak and for light/moderate chewing was missed. Kind of like the side effect to a pill being hidden in the paper flyer in the box.My fault for not having seen it and for believing in the Kong brand way too much...nice bounce, the dogs loved them but not, in my opinion, Kong brand quality.
My mini-doxie Darcy chews through most so-called "indestructible" toys in a few minutes. A few years ago I found these small Kong balls in a local pet store, and they lasted longer than ANY other toy. I bought one, have since looked for them EVERYWHERE locally and have not been able to find them, even at the store where I bought them initially. I thought, "Why not try Chewy?" and there they were. PERFECT! So glad I found this product. Chewy offers a wide variety of products and outstanding customer service! MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE THERE!
I do a bit of dog walking/dog sitting, and I've learned that bringing a new toy along can make a visit extra special, plus it's a great way to reward a dog/get a dog's attention without using treats. But, I didn't want anything with bits that could be chewed off and swallowed, and these balls are perfect. I got the large size, and so far, they have been tested by:-A teenaged Great Dane-A couple of Saint Bernards-A very enthusiastic black lab-A medium to large lab/hound mixThey all LOVED it (maybe partially because it was a new toy), and they could all hold it in their mouths, but they couldn't get a super firm grip on it because it is a bit slippery. Which is great because it adds excitement to the game, and it's definitely big enough that there was no ... MoreI do a bit of dog walking/dog sitting, and I've learned that bringing a new toy along can make a visit extra special, plus it's a great way to reward a dog/get a dog's attention without using treats. Which is great because it adds excitement to the game, and it's definitely big enough that there was no chance of it getting stuck in any of these big dogs' throats. Plus, it's easy to clean between dogs.It does take some extra effort to squeak it, but the squeak has lasted so far! And that makes it an exciting surprise when the dog figures out how to do it, too!Attached is a photo of the Great Dane. Even he was working hard to hold it in his mouth!
I ordered these medium balls for my 230 lb English Mastiff, Bastian. When I received them they were just larger than a golf ball but smaller than a tennis ball. I was disappointed because normally medium is more baseball sized which is the size Bastian prefers. Even though he is giant he only wants things he can easily "chew" in his mouth like gum. I decided to see what he thought instead of immediately sending them back. So far it has been a hit, he has been obsessed with chewing it and he hasn't destroyed it yet after more than a week of having it. He's 5 yo now so is not as much of a chewer as he used to be but he still loves to play with and chew on balls. As long as he is happy, which he is, I am happy so it all worked out well.
Are these Kong balls supposed to have a split? My husband unpackaged and gave one to our GSD. Usually they don’t actually destroy balls (maybe peel a tennis ball, or puncture a football but not actually chew). I’d estimate it had been out of the package maybe 45 minutes. Kicked about, pounced upon, chased and bounced (by the dog) in the frontroom - no rough outdoor play or fetch (he wants to fetch but won’t let you hold it long enough!)Positives: the dog loves to drop and catch this in his mouth. Great bounce. The size is perfect for both my GSDs. It’s got a great squeak noise (split or not)
