3 month review- still going strong! Foam hasn’t ripped, and our pitty likes to play rough. This is by far his favorite toy. Would absolutely recommend, especially for heavy chewers and really rough tuggers. Will buy another one if this one finally gives out.

For my 20 lb goblin it’s a fun change from playing tug with a stuffie. Not sure how long the toy would last with a larger breed. The ring is a dense foam material and the fabric handle is two layers with the handle interior made from fleece. My dog prefers grabbing the handle rather than the ring (whatever) - not sure it’s really worth the cost ..

I have a pit bull/beagle mix, named Josie. She has a pretty powerful bite and loves to play rough. We've had this for a few months now and it's showing signs of ripping, and her teeth occasionally get stuck in the material (it's like a squishy foam?). But we play with this thing ROUGH, and like I said, when she latches onto something, she won't let go, so it's only fair it's in a distressed state. She doesn't go out of her way to chew on it and knows it's a tug toy so maybe that's why some reviews are negative, if their pups are chewers. Josie will grab this nightly and bring it to me. It has a fairly comfortable, fabric handle so it's easy to use. It doesn't have signs of ripped stitching or anything. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this toy.

when I see a review and the person lets their dog just sit and chew and then are surprised it has damage? FETCHING. No better material for playtime. If you want them to chew and you don’t want to play with them then give them a bone or a Kong. We have great success with several styles of this material. Will let the pic speak for itself on the stick.
All the dogs (4) love this. They play with each other and are happy to play with the humans as well. Definitely recommend. Theses toys are great and my dogs have had some for a while, most are not showing a sign of chewing. This item does show wear and chewing except for the black handle. That will have to be removed eventually but the ring is loved more anyway. It will last a very long time.
I was really looking for a different kind of tug toy to use with my dachshund because he bites through rope in all of 3 seconds, as soon as the actual tug game ends. I don't want rope getting caught in his belly, and it also defeats the purpose of those toys altogether. So, I tried this. It was fun while it lasted, the elastic adds a fun element to the game of tug. However, unsurprisingly, he chewed through the handle part in less than a week. Three stars though, because although this doesn't work for us as a tug toy, the ring has actually lasted for a while now. I mean, it still "sort of" works for tug on a small scale, but it really works for fetch.
Not up to the usual Kong standard. The strap was chewed through within minutes of it being delivered. If you're going to buy this for your pup, make sure it's kept somewhere that only you have access to it and can take it out only if you're going to supervise the play. We like to keep our dog's toys in a box where she can just go grab one and either play with it herself or bring it to us. Big mistake doing it with this one.
Bought this for my 12 week old American Staffordshire puppy and he LOVES it! We've had it for about a week and I didn't think it would last. The look and feel of the yellow ring is styrofoam-like however it must be some space age material because we play hard and there aren't any gauges or rips in it. I'm also waiting to see how long the fabric handle holds up but so far so good, puppy grabs by the handle about half of the time and it's holding up relatively well.
The best tug toy yet! I usually buy tug ropes that get destroyed within minutes and I’m not comfortable tugging with his teeth in the rope. I like not having to worry about his teeth with this one. He can get a good grip that I’m comfortable with. As long as it’s used the way it’s supposed to be used (playing tug WITH your dog and not just letting him chew on it) it’s extremely durable. Very happy with this purchase
I have a medium breed dog and this toy was a bit small for him. He tries his best to play with it. He eventually loses interest because he doesn't like how it fits around his nose. However, this is an excellent toy. The handle is well stitched. It has a rebound effect and hasn't torn. We've had the toy for a few months now and it's still intact. The handle area is very soft but more cushioning would be better. It digs into my hands a bit since the force on the other end is around 53lbs. I would recommend this toy to someone with a small/medium breed.
