I purchased a digital piano for my master bedroom a few months back! When I ordered this item it was shipped in an timely manner!! However I wasn’t home and asked a local family member to come over to put in the house, once see it delivered on the camera!! After seeing the way the Fed Ex driver throw my item on the front porch and leave!! The family member called to confirm that this box is damaged! Not only the box, the piano was damaged, with stand attachments broken! So when I got home I called AMS and they overnight me a new one, and assured me they don’t work like that! My new gear came the next day in Excellent condition!! AMS is the best and do what they say their going to do!!

The sound is great, the packaging was protective and my order arrived without damage, marks, scuffs, etc. While I did not have a negative customer service experience per se, I didn't really have an experience at all. I did reach out to ask about my shipping information and never received a response. Luckily, it wasn't anything urgent but I'd say acknowledgment is important overall and could improve.I absolutely would recommend American Musical Supply and the Korg B2. I will likely purchase from the company again in the future.Recommendation: The Korg STB1 stand is a perfect fit! I purchased this particular stand elsewhere due to availability at the time but highly recommend keeping an eye out for it if you have or choose to treat yourself to the Korg B2 Digital Piano.

As such, I didn’t need anything fancy; Just something that could simulate a real piano both aurally and physically with weighted keys.• Look at Feel (4.5 out of 5)While the keys don’t feel quite the same as a proper piano, the experience is close enough and my fingers were sore after 30 minutes. The hammer action is consistent and once you get used to it, it starts becoming easier to play notes with the right amount of volume. The keyboard itself is very spartan with only a few buttons and labels, which is exactly what I wanted.• Sound (4 out of 5)First off, for the price paid, I think the speakers and overall quality of the digital reproduction of a piano is great. You can certainly crank it up to max and there is very little distortion or artifacting. No matter what though, it’s still from a speaker and not quite the same as the real instrument. I often use a nice pair of ATH-M50x headphones, which has been enjoyable. I do wish there was some way to switch easily between headphones and speakers, because it’s a small pain to access the ports in the back once you already have it situated in your living space.• Features (4 out of 5)Like I mentioned before, the overall feature-set is somewhat limited. For my purposes, it is perfect. There are a few different instruments it can simulate, has a metronome, and there are some advanced features that give a surprising amount of control over things like sensitivity of the touch of the keys. One area that I wanted to embrace is MIDI support and all the resources available on my iPad Pro. I was delighted to find that a simple USB-C to USB-B cable purchased for $7 was all I needed to connect the two. Once I got started on an app (I chose SimplyPiano from JoyTunes), I was able to start lessons right away and the convenience of learning this way has been highly motivational. I was very pleased to learn that I can have my headphones connected to the piano, MIDI out to iPad, and the entire experience gets routed to the headphones, including the audio from the iPad. It allows me to play at night when I have the most free time and not worry about disturbing anyone. The controls in the app along with the advanced MIDI controls in the piano allow me to fine tune the experience so I’m getting exactly what I want out of it. I only wish it would charge the iPad also. Not a complaint, it would just really be great it if did.• Overall (4.3 out of 5)I wanted a piano for not a lot of money, so I can take advantage of working remotely during the pandemic. I also wanted to embrace new technologies and apps so I can pick up where I left off in my music studies, and have a realistic ā€œfeelā€ to the experience because I didn’t want to limit my growth by using a truncated keyboard or one with an unrealistic feel that would make it difficult to play on a real piano someday. The Korg B2 is an excellent purchase for my scenario, and I’m more than happy with it. Connecting to my iPad and having that instant feedback while being able to practice at any time on my headphones is really all I could hope for in 2020.

And all rounder amazing piano keyboard
26 January 2021

This is a fantastic piano keyboard for both beginners and casual advance players. The sound is beautiful - all the piano keys included are very welcoming. Plus you can hook it up to your mac, pc, ipad or phone and use it as a midi controller. Better yet, you can use the korg apps (bundled) or any app on the ipad which gives this keyboard an infinite amount of playable sounds. Weight of the keys are superb and can be adjusted and tuned to your liking. I feel this keyboards price is very reasonable considering what you are getting. This definitely beats those ā€˜plasticky’ cheap keyboards and definitely worth the purchase.

Beautiful sounding starter

A long time ago I bought one of these when I began learning the piano. It sounded clean, smooth, and my pianist friends were impressed with it's quality. Then after many piano-less years, I wanted a new keyboard, so I went with the tried and tested Korg B2 (weighted hammer action keys) once again. It's cost effective, sturdy, and the weighted keys feel really nice when playing.Excellent starter piano, and still a solid recommend for long-time musicians.

Great instrument - no issues
19 May 2021

I purchased it when it was around 350 USD. An amazing instrument for learning. The sustain pedal is sturdy. I was skeptic of the 'white noise' issue that was mentioned in a lot of reviews. I did not notice noise of any kind when it is just switched on and my house is hauntingly quiet. You can also hook up your phone (3.5 mm audio jack) or your PC (USB-A) to this Piano and use it as a speaker to play along or to just listen. If you are just planning to learn to play the piano, this is a great purchase. If you need the extra voices and background styles, this is not the instrument.Keep the manuasafe and handy - there is no screen on this instrument.

Great sound and feel!
4 June 2021

This is probably my third or fourth purchase from Adorama. Just like the previous one, this was a very smooth transaction, item arrived quickly, and was flawless. Very pleased with this purchase. Piano sounds and feels great! I had a comparable Yamaha a few years ago, and I really think this one is better overall. Only negative I can think of is the proprietary jack for the sustain pedal (very nice one included), but at the price I paid, I won't knock off even 1/2 a star. If you or someone in your home wants to learn to play piano with authentic feel and really good sounds, this would be a great choice.

Andertons YouTube videos helped me make my purchasing decision – in their blind tests, the Korg B2's piano samples sounded best to me ears. I haven't been disappointed… I'm no musician, but the concert pianos sound superb, as does the church organ. The other keyboard samples are also excellent. The graded weighted keys feel natural and responsive, the built-in speakers are surprisingly good, and the sustain pedal is very well made.Although Korg uses a proprietary connector for the foot pedal, it takes just a few minutes and a couple of pounds to make an adapter that allows standard pedals to be used.

The Best 88-key Weighted Keyboard Ever!!
25 November 2022

So I've been looking for a great simply keyboard controller with built-in speakers for a long long time like over 4 decades long and finally we find it in the Korg B2. The one thing that the Korg b2 has that no other keyboard has it is the USB-Audio-Midi and I had to buy the B2 to check it out. Combine this with a Mac with Logic Pro x, MainStage, GarageBand or any other DAW software and you can have a fantastic recording studio. Now granted you can have a great recording studio with any Midi Piano Keyboard but what makes the Korg B2 stand out is the USB Audio because with one USB cable connected to your MacBook you can send all your keyboard midi out put to your computer and your computer can send all its audio sound back to your keyboard speakers and if you turn ...Ā MoreSo I've been looking for a great simply keyboard controller with built-in speakers for a long long time like over 4 decades long and finally we find it in the Korg B2. Combine this with a Mac with Logic Pro x, MainStage, GarageBand or any other DAW software and you can have a fantastic recording studio. Now granted you can have a great recording studio with any Midi Piano Keyboard but what makes the Korg B2 stand out is the USB Audio because with one USB cable connected to your MacBook you can send all your keyboard midi out put to your computer and your computer can send all its audio sound back to your keyboard speakers and if you turn off local midi then all you will only hear and control is the MacBook sounds. The closest ability to do this is the Aux-in on a keyboard and only a handful of keyboards has Aux-in and surprisingly some of the newer keyboards have now removed the Aux-in and replaced it with Bluetooth midi and audio which has a one second lag and is basically unusable if you want to send midi to your computer and the computer sends back the sound. To get no lag you need to use USB-midi and Aux-in as a combination to get your DAW sounds. I don't really know why companies don't provide this ability consistently. I mean go look for midi keyboard that has Aux-in as even the B2 has Aux-in but you don't need it because you have USB-audio-midi. and it makes all your DAW sounds as "one-with-your" B2 Keyboard.Hit a note and that note sends a midi signal to your computer and your computer sends back the sound related to the note to be played through your keyboard speakers and that is how you get the Best 88-key Weighted Keyboard Ever!! Trust me as I have researched everywhere and this USB-Audio is what we as keyboard players have been looking for since 4 decades ago. Also because of the 30 watt speakers (15 watts per speaker) you get some really great sounds and as I said you can layer the sounds by adding more tracks in Logic Pro X. Also trust me that this is the only time you will hear about USB Audio because it seems that nobody really understands what to do with USB-audio and it also seems that nobody understands Aux-in believing that it is just an input jack for your iPhone to play music on your keyboard speakers just so you can play along with the music. I'll repeat the process.... play a note on the keyboard and usb midi will send the note to your computer and in response your computer will send the sound back either through USB-Audio or Aux-in back to your keyboard speakers. I hear your question of why would you want to do that? well when your fingers hit a note and the sound of the note is played through your keyboard speakers, this gives you the feedback like a real acoustic piano and when you have the sound of a nice acoustic grand piano coming through your keyboard speakers, it makes your keyboard worth so much more in terms of playability. USB-Audio is the killer feature that you should look for in any keyboard.
