The adaptor from UK TO AU does the job. Did not want to cut the lead and replace it with an AU Plug. I choose the adaptor to make it work. thanks
Lightweight, fitted an HSI Hair Straightener I bought which had a US plug.

My plug won't fit into the hole because of the shape. You can't put a square peg into a round hole. Very poor design.
