Kristin Ess Moisture Rich Curl Conditioner for Unisex

I had no idea who Kristin Ess was,until an Ulta rabbit hole pulled me in, and boy was it worth it! I use the curly girl hair method, I am currently on my hair regrowth journey after I had/have Telogen Effluvium. This product is light weight and does not hold your curls back at all! Your hair literally springs to life well using! The smell is amazing, anyone with a sensitive nose, this product is not for you as it has a lot of fragrance! I love fragrance in almost every product I use! Hence why I bought this and the reviews ! My hair is so smooth , curl defined and bouncy after I use this conditioner! It's a must have for curly haired girls! Highly recommend Kristin Ess products to everyone with every type of hair!

I started a new job a few months ago and noticed that several women on my unit have beautiful curly, wavy hair. My hair is naturally curly/very wavy and I have had it heavily foiled every 4 weeks to remain blonde for 22 years. When I turned about 25 years old I stopped wearing my hair naturally ever. I finally asked one of the women I have to ask what products do you use that make your curls so pretty and not frizzy? Its a leave in I assume?. Then she said No, no products. Its my shampoo and conditioner. Kristin Ess.. I bought it here that night (both shampoo and this conditioner) and the first time I used it- I couldnt believe the difference in my hair. I still used my regular leave in (liquid rollers by EVO) curl definer but even that worked better than before. I have never felt comfortable enough to wear my hair naturally out (like for a date or gathering) but I actually do now. It not only works (I cant believe more people dont know about this!) but it smells really good, its EXTREMELY reasonably priced (I was thrilled), and its size (as well as the shampoos) is great bc it fits nicely in those wire suction/hanging shower product holder things- but if you dont have one, the size is compact enough (without skimping on product) to not take up space in weird places of your shower.

Love the formula, not the scent

I love the formula. It’s very moisturizing, which is what was missing for me from the signature conditioner. I will say though that I don’t have curly hair, only some waves, so I can’t speak to how hydrating it would be for curls. However, I don’t like the scent. I wish I had checked the actual Kristin Ess site where they list the fragrance for each product. I mostly use Kristin Ess products because I LOVE The One Signature fragrance. This doesn’t smell like that, and it doesn’t smell like the fragrance listed on the KE site either. I may have gotten a defective bottle, but it smells like a dentist office. & even though I use The One signature shampoo & the leave in conditioner with the good fragrance, I can’t smell it on my hair when I use this. Perfection

My curls LOVE this shampoo and conditioner. Leaves my hair feeling soft and strong, if that makes any sense. It gives my curls structure before I even add stylers. This conditioner oddly leaves my hair feeling fuller after I rinse it out, which works for me cuz I have fine textured, but high density hair type. A lot of people are leaving bad reviews on this product because of its scent and that's not fair to the product itself. It does have a strong scent, which lasts for days in my hair, but that is not an issue for me. The base of this scent is Sandalwood, which is my absolute favorite scent on earth. I would recommend finding something else if Sandalwood isn't your jam. As for me, I'll keep buying this until they discontinue it.

RUN AWAY

This was by far one of the worst conditioners I’ve ever had in my entire life. I’ve used the original Kristen Ess line, wasn’t great wasn’t horrible. But this line… was ATROCIOUS. I smell the bottle, and the fragrance wasn’t my cup of tea but I gave it a try. Instantly my hair started coming off my head in small clumps and once in contact with water, the smell is of burning wet dog mixed with the highest alcohol content cologne you’ve ever smelled. Reading the ingredient list there are no moisturizing oils, or butters of any kind. High amounts of alcohol with a crap ton of god awful fragrance. My hair feels like overcooked corn stalk once rinsed out and I had to shampoo TWICE to get most of the smell off that is still lingering.

This.... is not a conditioner

This is not a conditioner at all, let alone a moisturizing one. It’s drying, even if you only cowash with it (aka it’s not just insufficiently moisturizing to use after shampoo, it’s actively drying on its own). It does not soften, detangle, or add shine, and actively does the antithesis of these things. I’ve noticed it actually seems to suds a tiny bit, so there’s some kind of cleanser in it. I even checked the label to make sure it actually is the conditioner, and it supposedly is. I don’t even have typically dry hair. Did I get a bad batch or something? Still 2 stars because it smells great in a really unique way (dry and earthy, with some sandalwood and celery root notes), the packaging is adorable, and I like that it’s silicone free. Wanted to love this product

I saw good reviews for this conditioner and am always looking for moisturizing products for my hair so I decided to give it a try.Pros:Hair does feel smoother and I have a little less frizzMakes my hair squishy in the shower without having to use a lotAffordableCons:VERY thick so it was hard to squeeze out of the bottle since I have carpal tunnel.. I had to buy a pump bottle and transfer it into that.I feel like I have to stand under the water longer to get it all out compared to other conditionersNot a fan of the smell, very perfumey whereas I like more fruity scentsOther than that, I wouldn't say this product is life changing and will probably switch to something else when this is empty

It's not the floral smell that women are use to but it's also not nauseating. People's comments got me worried but the smell is fine. No its not my favorite but it's fine. Second, after shampoo and conditioned my hair felt clean and fresh. Finally, the leave-in conditioner is a spray cream and at first I thought for sure this will not suffer my curls. The second time I used all 3 of the Kristin Ess curl products, I also used my goto leave in conditioner, my goto curl activator and my goto gel and I did notice that I got curl definition, but I didnt get the curl definition that I usually get when using my Co-wash and goto products. Also, the conditioner did not leave my hair feeling any softer and smooth than my goto Co-wash does, but on the plus side, the conditioner did not weight my curls down. I loved the packaging, but I wont buy this specific product in the future, there are far better curl conditioners on the market that dont look as fancy, but work much better. Also, this product has the same scent as the shampoo, strong at first, but it grows on you.
