The KRK systems are one of the best value for money studio setups on the market. I previously had a pair of KRK Rokit 5s, I was blown away by the sound quality. Few weeks later i bought the sub to go with the setup. Words cannot be used to describe the difference this sub made to the setup. Deep rich bass can be dynamically tuned to suit the room of your setup. Be aware that these slightly colour the sound and do not reproduce an accurate representation of the source file. BUT if you like listening to music with a bit of bass this is amazing!!!

I use this with KRK Rockit 5's for DJing and producing music at home. My music now sounds full and alive. I only have it turned up about a 1/3 and that is all the bass I need. I sounds fantastic and the build quality is 10/10. So happy everyday that I bought it.

Superb add-on for your KRK monitors, really taking the lower end to its limits, but with some testing & setup for your respective room, provides a warm & balanced lower end to suit all music styles.
I'd never heard of KRK before the salesman recommended this sub at the store. I am glad I did. It's a great sounding sub...very focused bass with no artificial boom. The driver is fast to response and quick to dampen. It's perfect for studio work for mixing and recording. Don't let the 160 watt power rating fool you...it's plenty powerful. My recording/rehersal studio is 14'x26' and this sub fills it up completely. It performs almost as well as my $5,000 REL in my listening room and has similar characteristics. Great product!
I recently purchased a Moog Sub-harmonicon and DFAM. This monitor was the perfect addition to let me hear the bass / low range frequencies I was generating.

My wife bought me this sub today for my birthday (07/22/21). I already had two KRK 8 Inch white noise monitors, and the sound is unreal. I locked the door connected it to my set up and just played my favorite songs for 3 hours. Grade-A 5 stars from me.
Added to home theater, this unit is great with music as in DVD Concerts and use with stereo system that is attached to home theater. With bottom end at around 30hz is great as mentioned but not low enough for home theater.
Thought of getting the 12.4 variant, but that one wouldn't fysically easy fit the space.For what the price is, definitely a go-er. My neighbours go Brrrr too at 10% gain so that's great.Furthermore:No grills available. I like grills, it gives some protection for the wilder sessions.One of the cleanest sounding subs in this price range. Pair it with a accompanying set of KRK monitors and you're set up with a starter pack. Only thing you need is their mweh app that does it's job but not that gracefully
