I bought this for my new E bike which I use for errands around town. I store it in a milk crate lashed to my back rack so it's bulk does not bother me in this application. While the lock is a bit finicky to operate as it takes a full half-rotation to engage or disengage I have found it much more useful in the urban environment as it can lock your bike to just about anything that doesn't move (as compared to a U-lock). I am not under the false impression that it would stop a determined bike thief (I don't think any lock will), but for short stops at the coffee shop or market, this thing works great.

So, we got this crazy idea to lock those up and render them useless. In the photos it shows how useful this lock can really be. I locked my bike in the carport and even though it’s a Mobo 3 wheeled low rider and in the public eye, I’m pretty sure it will be there every morning. In these crazy times we live in I believe its important to secure your bike. I am going to use this by securing my bike to a bike rack or permanent structure. The chain and lock are very heavy duty. The chain is covered with fabric to protect your bikes finish. The lock is keyed and they have a key replacement program. I think this will stop the average thief but if it doesn't they have a $500 anti-theft offer. This unit is also guaranteed for life. I currently have it on my bike in the garage as of late thieves have been entering garages with their doors open and stealing whatever they can carry.
