As a person that never used a slow juicer before I was skeptical at the price, should I really spend that much on a juice extractor and is it a good product that worth the investment? It took me quite a while to make my final decision. I googled up different slow juicer brands, read reviews and even went on different groups to ask for true opinions from real people. I ended up with this Kuvings whole slow juicer model B6000 in white color. So what so special about this product that makes it a better choice? First of all, Kuvings was the first company came out of a whole juicer, with its 3-inch wide feed chute, the B6000 can accommodate whole ingredients, like apples, reducing your prep time by 40%. I’ve tried apples, carrots, celeries, oranges, pineapples and soy beans, it crunched them with no problem. There is some noise but it’s bearable not too loud. Second of all, with low-speed masticating technology eliminates heat and oxidation damage for nutrient preservation, the color of the juice look very nice and the pulp is fairly dry it means you get more juice! There will a little foam on the top, just take a spoon to remove it and it’ll be ready to serve. The fresh juice tastes so delicious, no juice at the markets can compare! Another thing I love about this juicer is that from assembly to removal and cleaning is extremely easy. After taking them apart, you can rinse them under water and most of the stuff will come off then you just proceed to normal hand washing. This machine also has an extra blank strainer to create luscious sorbets and fruit ice cream if you’d like to satisfy your sweet tooth with natural ingredients. Last of all, Kuvings juicers came with 10-year limited warranty instead of 2-3 years like others. Very good durable highly recommend!

Constructive Criticism

Honestly, it’s an ok, slow extraction juicer. Yes you can extract juice and the yield is great! I enjoy it! THE TEN TON ELEPHANT in the room is the fact that this machine cannot process anything fibrous without getting clogged. Furthermore, the opening for material to pass through is awkwardly placed for a continuous flow of high fiber material. Celery, not a chance, ginger, no way, kale and collards, good luck. I’m not saying that it’s a bad piece of equipment, it’s not. However, I have a problem paying that much money for something and having to take it apart to clean it out while I’m juicing. It’s annoying, and shouldn’t be an issue at such a price point. I could pay less for the same headache, ok that was a dig, but you get what I’m saying. On a brighter note, the juices are good, weight loss is a by product of juicing. The energy burst you get from every glass is real. Kuvings, please fix the fiber exit. I’ve got an idea or two that could possibly assist in the fiber expelling with a minimal part change that probably wouldn’t cost much to fix. Maybe.

Dislike it immensely!

I wish we didn’t have it. We lost our Hurom in a house fire and when it came time to replace, we chose a Kuving’s model. I guess the videos sold us. It doesn’t maximize the juice from the produce, we have to filter juice because it is extremely pulpy and time-consuming clean up is the icing on the cake after the other frustrations. And yes, we followed the instructions. Also, the company doesn’t ship to Hawaii so we had to have it shipped to the mainland and family send it over. Not worth it. We will go back to a brand we liked before.

Get the Citrus Attachment

I owned a Juiceman Junior centrifugal juicer for several years but learning of the advantages of the masticating variety, I wanted to try one for myself. Many reviews of other makes suggested they are slow in use and when combined with cautions about the electric motors overheating I was reluctant to give them a try until I saw that Kuvings used a more powerful motor to overcome those issues.In use the B6000 was indeed as fast if not faster than my old centrifugal juicer. It crunched whole carrots, apple and pear pieces, celery stalks faster than my old juicer could grate them. These two areas are still easy to clean with the tools provided even compared to my old juicer.The biggest advantage I've found so far of the Kuvings is the number of things I can juice which were either not possible or not convenient in the centrifugal juicer. Leafy vegetables, small berries, larger soft fruit are all candidates for juicing now. But far and away my favorite is oranges with the citrus attachment, for two reasons.When assembled normally the unit is too tall to fit under the wall cabinet and is therefore dismantled and kept in a drawer. With the citrus attachment it not only fits but looks very chic sitting on the countertop. It is therefore no hassle to juice an orange, or grapefruit or lemon whenever they are needed. Clean up is also very quick.If I had to nit-pick, the advertising shows a whole apple being fed into the machine. A splitter however prevents the apple, or any large piece, from reaching the masticator. The throat would not allow large pieces to be pulled in anyway [deceptive advertising?] Some plastic parts feel frail, not as robust/durable? as the rest of the juicer.

Great Product, Some Mal-Functions

Very sturdy great product. Very heavy, so I suggest finding a sturdy tabletop/ cabinet to store them. I had a hard time closing the lid of the chute. First time assembling was a bit difficult. Had to watch a Youtube video to see how user put parts together. Also, I ran into an issue with the strainer warping on me when I tried to juice almond milk. It was the first time I used the machine too. I followed the guide book instructions to the "t" with assembling and soaking the almond nuts overnight. Customer service was on point when I emailed them to ask for replacement.I tried doing several recipes from online and their recipe book too. Love how much fruits/vegetables I can consume when juicing versus eating it whole. One thing that I'm slightly disappointed in is ... MoreVery sturdy great product. Product claims that juices won't separate because it's slow-juiced. Nothing that a spoon and mixing can't solve I guess but felt slightly let-down.

Juice Juice Baby!

I’ve been wanting a masticating juicer for some time. And I am pleased overall with my new Kuvings Juicer. I purchased he B6000. It’s fairly easy to use. It does take a bit longer to clean than the other juicers Ive had. It’s not loud and extracts a good amount of juice from fruits and veggies. Pulp is a lot more dry than with other juices. The only con I have with it is pineapples and celery don’t juice well. Because it’s stringy, it gets caught and jams in the pulp extraction chute. It can get really bad. Which causes it not to juice properly. The mouth where you feed food products through isn’t designed very well in my opinion. But perhaps this has been corrected with the newer designs. I’ll be upgrading pretty soon just for that reason.

Pulp is wet and gets stuck in the port

I was extremely pleased with my Kuvings B6000 when I first purchased it.It has since began producing wet pulp, causing me to strain the pulp through cheese clothe for maximum output, the pulp gets stuck in the pulp feed port, I have to stick something down the opening of the juicer to ensure that it goes to the press and spend time reversing it to ensure that the fruit or vegetables get fed properly.I wanna continue to be excited about my Kuvings juicer however I’m slowing wishing that I had purchased the nana??

Renewed Love for all things Kuving!

I have been a juicer on and off for more than 20 plus years. I own two KUVING juicers. I had shelved both after hearing one of my neighbors tell me all the negative things about juicing and listening to other popular fad like gurus on why not to juice. Really, I am an easily influenced person with the right argument. Recently I have noticed Juicing bars come up alongside Starbucks and other Coffee shops and with the hefty price attached I just started thinking about my own juicers. Now, I have a diagnoses of a rare autoimmune disease and I am currently taking prednisone to deal with heart inflammation. Noticing a bloat, I started considering ways to switch my diet to help with the bloat. My B6000 is simple to use, I do cut my fruits and veggies, I bundle my greens like parsley and they get juiced! I am now getting ready to make delicious muffins from the fibers of my juicing. The parts rinse easily, I use a toothbrush for the fine mesh screen and it takes under 5 minutes for cleanup. My other KUVINGS is on our camper, It too is easy to use and is best for smaller amounts of juice as it will get overloaded otherwise. EASE of cleanup are staple of both and the pulp is dry! That means I am getting all the juice! I am very happy to be at my daily juicing again and will just have to put in earplugs when I get a friend or neighbor telling me the cons of Juicing.

So I'm new to juicing at home and I had some gift cards, which helped me splurge on this versus some of the cheaper whole slow juicers out there... I've got to say I'm happy and impressed with the delicious and nutritious end result! I like the larger chute although it definitely helps to cut your produce into smaller pieces as you prep, but the motor seems strong and churns all the fruits and veg with ease. I do find the celery being so fibrous tends to slow or jam the pulp discard chute so I'm trying to strategize the order of my produce to determine what is most efficient. But for now, I just pull out the celery pulp fibers with a chop stick to help keep the discarded pulp congestion to a minimum. The way I figure it is, you know how you spend like $10 or more on just the small size juice at your local hip juice shop in town or the Whole foods?? Well this is you saving that money on the convenience, and although it may take longer, you get to specify exactly what and how you want your juice to be. So consider that when you invest in this juicer. And also be aware that buying produce can add up and it may not be so cheap, but that's the price you pay knowing that your juice is fresh and real and accountable since you are making it! And you will save way more in the long run making your own juice at home rather than spending it at the hip juice bar every day, that's for sure. Its a first world problem to have my fellow juice lovers, so don't feel so entitled on the quest for the mythical quick easy slow juicer. Appreciate the fact that you can afford a $400 juicer and have the privilege and convenience in your own home! This thing is awesome, so just get it and enjoy some wonderful customized fresh juice and stop complaining and be happy because you've made it my friend!

The Kuvings juicer is powerful, quiet, and efficient, producing smooth, nutrient-rich juice with minimal pulp. Its wide feeding chute reduces prep time, and it's easy to clean. Though a bit heavy, the sturdy build and excellent juice extraction make it a great investment for serious juicers. Highly recommended!
