I have been using a Kyocera ceramic julienne mandoline for many years. I bought this one as a backup even though my first one still works great. The pieces that it creates are small. I use it mostly for carrots and radishes when I want finer pieces in my salad. I'm not sure why they have "Wide" in the name of the product.
