L.A. Girl - PRO.color Foundation Mixing Pigment Blue

I ADORE this stuff! Saw it on Tiktok and had to give it a try, and now I can't do my makeup without it. I have very cool undertones and every foundation I have ever tried, no matter what the supposed undertones, has made my skin look orange (straight out of the bottle, not after oxidizing). I have dozens of bottles of foundation sitting around and I've resorted to mixing certain ones together to try to come up with an acceptable shade - but my skin still looked orange. This problem was solved instantly with a TINY DROP of the blue pigment!! My face has never looked so good! I highly recommend it to anyone who struggles with color matching their foundation.

I have hundred of dollars of high end foundations that are too dark or not quite the right shade. Instead of wasting or throwing them out I decided to give this a try and I am so glad I did. This did not change the formula on the foundations and I tried in matte and serum foundations, various ones. Flawless finish and lightened to my perfect shade, did not seperate. I highly recommend this. I only used white and did not need the blue one but will purchase the blue as I’m curious what effect that one will have but I am more than happy with the white. Pick this up!!!!

I've already repurchased this over and over. This is A MUST for me as I have light olive skin. Getting a foundation to match is impossible and when you do get one, it's never in a great formula. So I get the formula I like in a yellow light tone and put blue La Girl mixing pigment in blue. It makes your makeup match every time. This is literally my 5th bottle. The bottle is nice and heavy, made of glass, with a good pump. The formula doesn't charge the foundation formula at all, just adds blue and sometimes lightens it a bit. It's perfect.

Essential for matching foundations

How something like this has NOT been made available to NON MUA is beyond my understanding. So many of my foundations I loved over the years have either oxidized or discontinued and trying to find a match is near impossible for my yellow peach undertone. Neutrals are too orange, warms are too yellow; i fall somewhere in between. Thank goodness I took color theory long time ago because I could see how many people might get frustrated trying to make their perfect shade. I highly recommend this but to also watch the demonstration on mixing to understand the concepts before mixing and getting discouraged. Should also mention that a little goes a long way so pump the pigment on the side and slowly add a little at a time. If you're type A like me I fill an oral syringe with the pigments so i know how much pigment of each i add consistently every time per single pump of my foundation I'm color correcting.

Fixed My Favorite Oxidizing Foundation

I go on serious missions to try and find the best makeup products. It started with brow pencils, and next was finding the best foundation (I use it as a concealer). Now I seriously swatched every single foundation/concealer tester available in the drugstore area, and every "neutral/cool tone" was literally orange/yellow/warm. Every. Single. Color. I couldn't give up one of the foundations I found over oxidation, I was too in love. So a worker at Ulta who is also a makeup artist told me to add some LA Girl Mixing Pigment in the blue color to cancel out the orange. I decided to try it out and wow, it worked. You have to add the right ratio. If I accidentally add too much my concealer turns gray. I did notice my foundation is a lot more moisturizing and goes on much smoother with the blue pigment added. I bought the blue and yellow mixers since my foundations are always too orange, pink, or gray on my skin. I used to mix the green color corrector with my foundations but the base of that corrector was too white and would unnecessarily lighten my foundations. So, based on color theory, I figured the blue and yellow would allow me to add green pigment without altering how deep my foundations were. This mixer has revived my foundation graveyard since I can now fix any foundation that didn't work for me instead of tossing them. Great product to lighten foundation!

I picked this up to lighten my foundation instead of buying another shade and I'm honestly surprised how great the formula is. I noticed it didn't make my foundation any more dewy or any more matte and didn't compromise the coverage of my foundation at all. You only need a VERY small amount so do be careful or try playing around with ratio.With that being said, I'm not a huge fan of the pump. I think a squeeze tube may be better so you're able to control more of the product. Sometimes I feel like I'm wasting too much product. The packaging is nice but not travel friendly as it's a heavy glass bottle...other than that, I have no complaints!

I wish I would have bought sooner!!

I srsly want to kiss the person who wrote that review, they were exactly right! The blue just makes everything PERFECT!! i mix about half a pump on the back of my hand and watch in horror as it turns green, but then when throughly mixed, what was yellow or peach, turns the exact shade as the back of my hand and I can barely see the difference in tone. That has never happened for me!!! Now I suspect I might actually have olive undertones, which is shocking because why would I? I am just a very standard white person. I 1000% recommend this product. It doesn't seem to change the formula of my foundation at all. I have oily skin and usually go for a medium to full cover satin finish foundation and it remains that way even with this product mixed in. I have ordered the white and yellow mixer too for when I run into the shades that are too dark or too pink!! I know there is also a dark red that I want, maybe I will never have to buy a different shade for when I get some sun! I havent been so excited about a product in a very long time. I love this stuff!!!! Just some basic color theory: Blue cancels orange, yellow cancels purple, green cancles red and vice versa, so with all 3 primary color of this stuff you could correct any shade you have!

I bought this on a spending-spree with low expectations. I am mixed and have brown skin with something between a neutral/yellow undertone. I am notorious for stumping staff who try to shade match, and I usually settle for a foundation close to my color with a warmer undertone than I need. I have just accepted that I have to mix multiple pricey foundations or go around with a funky face that does not match my neck. This is a total game changer-it mixes easily, cools down my foundation, and the formula (I got blue) doesn't seem to affect the finish of my foundation so far. Definitely buying again and in other pigments!
