This is a bit like DHC's cleansing oil, but for the body! It's a light golden, fragrant liquid which emulsifies upon contact with water. Main ingredient in here is antioxidant-rich Grapeseed oil and a few other goodies too. I love the fragrance but it does seem to have been toned down since I last used this some years back. Unlike many of the other L'Occitane shower and hand cleansing formulations, this one does not leave your skin feeling dry. However I sometimes find it a bit too emollient as a shower product and tend to use only in winter when my skin can really use the extra boost of hydration, especially my lower legs. I follow with the 'Almond Supple Skin oil' to really lock in that moisture. Personally I love the scent in here but it may not be for everyone! ... It’s the first shower oil—the other was Fur’s fur oil, which I like using to prevent ingrown hairs. Anyhow, the first thing I noticed about this shower oil was it’s scent. The almond note is light and perfectly balanced. I poured a couple of drops into my hand and noticed the texture was different from other oil cleansers as well. It was thicker—not as thick as regular shower gels but not runny like other oils. I tested it on my forearm first and as soon as it began to lather ever so slightly, I knew I was going to love it. I still rinsed off my testing area to see what my skin felt like prior to using it on the rest of my body, however, just to be certain regarding the results. Naturally I could tell it was oil, but it didn’t leave water rolling off of my skin like other products and my forearm felt so well nourished I practically snatched the bottle back up to wash the rest of my body. I didn’t need to use a shaving cream with this product—my razor glided across my skin smoother than it ever has, and I got out of the bath with soft, clean, nourished skin. In fact, it’s been over 2 hours and my body still feels like I spent the time using a high end moisturizer on my entire body. This singular product served 3 purposes tonight (cleanser, shaving gel/cream, and moisturizer). I strongly recommend giving L’occitane Amande a chance. It is a stellar product and is perfect for maintaining moisturized skin during the upcoming winter months!

It gives a luxurious lather. It’s honestly my favorite part of my shower, almost like an indulgence. I’ve only used this for a week and so far, I’m loving it. My skin feels soft and smooth and moisturized. It has no sticky or greasy feel. The almond scent is nice, it’s just suble, not overbearing. It’s sweet but not sickly sweet. Some people might not like it but I do. I didn’t buy the lotion (milk concentrate) because the almond scent might be too much for my nose but I might still try that one day. I also love that I only need a lil bit to cleanse my whole body, hopefully this 250ml ... I love this oil its perfect for dry skin but i would also say its perfect for any skin type. The oil has a slight almond sweetness to it without being overpowering you can still layer with fragrances. I use this in the am and sometimes in the pm after my showers as an all over moisturizer and i have noticed a huge difference in my skin since switching to this oil. My skin looks alot more radiant and supple my skin just looks very hydrated and healthy looking. The oil soaks into my skin right away theres no residue left over so you dont have to worry about it transferring on to your cloths. The spray is very nice it makes it easy to apply and the bottle is glass so its more luxe the bottle itself is 3.4oz so its not super big but you only need a little for every ... I just love this oil i wish they carried it in a bigger size i would buy it all the time This will defiantly be perfect for springsummer because its light but still very moisturizing. The oil is also great compared to lotions because they dont have all the fillers that most moisturizer have so i know i wont have to worry when using this oil. I have been really enjoying this brand i know there more on the luxe side but honestly its worth every penny and then some i personally dont mind spending more money on great products that actually work

I wash my body, and then lather and rinse with this right after. Like other reviewers have mentioned it does work beautifully on the feet to soften any callus!I have pretty dry skin so incorporating this into my routine has been the best decision I've made in awhile. While this is definitely overpriced (it’s in a plastic bottle and it goes quick!!), it’s still a shower staple for me. This is exactly what I need for shaving my legs. It’s moisturizing for my poor dry skin in the Texas heat. My boyfriend even loved it - I had to ask him to stop using it, it’s too expensive to share! For context, two people using once a day, this product runs out in about 2 weeks. I do recommend this product only if you’ve got a little extra money to spend, though. It’s definitely not an economical purchase, so you better be sure you like the scent! I’d suggest buying a trial before the full size, to know if you really want it.

A little went a long way and it truly created such a smooth and silky surface to shave on. I saw so many people complaining about the scent, which I found to be extremely subtle & not overbearing at all so if you didn’t love the scent I definitely didn’t find that it lingered for a long time on the body. Also, it claimed to have an Earthy/woodsy scent and I think that’s a fair way to describe the undertone that you smell alongside the primary almond scent. It does lather on “sticky” but in a good way haha. The more water that is added, the more the “stickiness” is broken up and becomes a smoother/milkier oil so I found it nice that it starts really thick that way you can kind of control how thick or thin you want it by getting more directly in the stream of water or less. The reason I gave this product 4 stars rather than 5, is because although it definitely made my shaving experience feel a lot more luxurious, I don’t know if for me personally I would want to spend the money on a product that doesn’t give very lasting or long-term results especially for this price point. My legs definitely felt “softer” as they claimed and really smooth but you could probably honestly get more out of an oil that is meant to stay on your skin once you’re out of the shower rather than just rinsed off.
