L'Occitane - almond Shower Oil - 250ml

The product was shipped quickly. I am not a fan of the actual packaging though. The bottle arrived with a peeled off sticker- which makes me think that this is a returned product. I typically do not care about these flaws, but it looked like it was already taken to the shower before judging by the damage on the label (see photo). \n\nThe bottle was not sealed- it just had a tape on the spout to prevent it from leaking. I’ve tried shower oil from a different brand years ago and I didn’t like it, but this particular shower oil is different. On contact with water, the oil transforms into a milky lotion. It gives a luxurious lather. It’s honestly my favorite part of my shower, almost like an indulgence. I’ve only used this for a week and so far, I’m loving it. My skin feels soft and smooth and moisturized. It has no sticky or greasy feel. The almond scent is nice, it’s just suble, not overbearing. It’s sweet but not sickly sweet. Some people might not like it but I do. I didn’t buy the lotion (milk concentrate) because the almond scent might be too much for my nose but I might still try that one day. I mean, what can I say? I usually take two showers per day and I started taking three because of this shower gel. No exaggeration. I’m a super snob when it comes to shower gels. I only use Molton Brown and nothing else but THIS, this really change the game for me and now my molton brown shower gel is sitting in my shower lonely as EVER. Beautiful stunning almond smell, I am so obsessed with the scent and the creaminess that I cannot wait to shower in the AM. The scent is truly addicting and the feel of it is just so mellow and moisturizing during and after the shower. Switching to this forever! Highly recommend, please stop using any other shower gel, I promise you they’re mediocre compared to this!

I get dry skin and do not like putting lotion on (even the non greasy ones).. so, I went ahead and gave this almond shower oil a try… the reviews were great, why not? I’M SO GLAD I DID!! After taking a “normal” shower… my last step is the almond shower oil! I will lather it up and cover my entire body with it… then rinse it off (with cooler water)… and when drying my skin, I more like pat myself dry (unless adding lotion/baby oil- because I would apply both of those while wet/damp to help lock in the moisture) I’ve had no negative reactions… my 3yr old daughter gets some of this in her baths as well.. she has sensitive skin, and gets rashes at times. After putting some in her baths.. I’ve noticed her skin is also doing better. Better Options Out There

I think this is a good product, but I don’t think that it meets the price point at which it is set. The scent is lovely, clean, warm, and cozy. If you like vanilla or coconut scents, give this almond scent a try. However, I don’t think this should be (or is intended to be) a replacement for your body wash. It does not thoroughly clean your skin; just adds a layer of moisture to it. It’s an extra step in your shower, and I think there are products out there at Target/Ulta/Walmart that both cleanse and moisturize deeply at a much lower price point and still with a great scent. The scent is not strong enough to be noticeable outside of your shower. This is a pass for me.

Dont understand negative reviews. THIS is an OIL not a soap!

I feel we're all entitled to speak our mind about product performance, especially for the cost of a foaming oil. I'm not sure what people are expecting when complaining about lather and skin isnt silky smooth after one use. This is a beautiful product and there is several ways you can use this without dumping half the bottle out. Take your time with it, start small and let it sit for a min. I just turn my shower nozzle away while i work on certain areas. About the halfway mark you will notice a differnece. The smell is not for everyone. as far as shower oils go this is a tried and true product for many people for good reasons.

LOVE ! Baby Soft Skin - Delicious Smell !

I am laying in bed and just feeling like a soft smooth velvet angel! This shower oil is so moisturizing for your skin and it leaves a hint of that amazing L'Occtiane almond oil scent. I wash my body, and then lather and rinse with this right after. Like other reviewers have mentioned it does work beautifully on the feet to soften any callus!I have pretty dry skin so incorporating this into my routine has been the best decision I've made in awhile. Highly recommend you will feel so amazing afterward and just feel luxurious in general while using this. (:ONLY ONE CONCERN - It does not lather the best, so I sometimes I tend to feel like I'm using more than I should to fully coat the body, hence the reason for one minus star. I was honestly really surprised by this product. Regardless of the mixed reviews, I think this product really shines primarily as a shave oil rather than a cleansing oil. A little went a long way and it truly created such a smooth and silky surface to shave on. I saw so many people complaining about the scent, which I found to be extremely subtle & not overbearing at all so if you didn’t love the scent I definitely didn’t find that it lingered for a long time on the body. Also, it claimed to have an Earthy/woodsy scent and I think that’s a fair way to describe the undertone that you smell alongside the primary almond scent. The more water that is added, the more the “stickiness” is broken up and becomes a smoother/milkier oil so I found it nice that it starts really thick that way you can kind of control how thick or thin you want it by getting more directly in the stream of water or less. The reason I gave this product 4 stars rather than 5, is because although it definitely made my shaving experience feel a lot more luxurious, I don’t know if for me personally I would want to spend the money on a product that doesn’t give very lasting or long-term results especially for this price point. My legs definitely felt “softer” as they claimed and really smooth but you could probably honestly get more out of an oil that is meant to stay on your skin once you’re out of the shower rather than just rinsed off.
