I received Age Perfect magnifying brow pencil crayon by L'Oreal in soft brown.(202)It has a fine tipped point pencil on one end and a spoolie on the other end. Spoolie is soft to your eyebrow, combs well. The pencil goes on smoothly and the colour matches my brown hair quite well . You are able to shape your brow well with the pencil .Once applied it lasted the whole working day which I liked. I received this #freeproduct from #topboxcircle to try. I've always had thick, dark eyebrows....until my early 50's. I've tried many different eyebrow products including gels, pencils, and mascara type products. This is the first pencil I've tried and really liked. It has a spoolie on the end to blend and shape with. The pencil is relatively soft and my only complaint is that you have to sharpen it quite often. I use the pencil to fill in my brows and colour the gray brows. The spoolie/brush is great to blend and give it a more natural look.
I have used this product off and on for a few weeks and it is not bad. I find the “soft brown” to be darker than I expected and because it is so soft I find it difficult to apply lightly. I have very fair eyebrows and have “put on” my brows daily for over 30yrs so am quit skilled at doing my own brows but I find this pencil takes a little extra effort to make them look natural. I think if a person was just filling in some sparse eyebrows close to the same colour this pencil would be fantastic. It lasts an entire 12 hr shift without smudging. I absolutely love the shade of this brow pencil. It is a natural looking match for my brows. I also appreciated the attached brow brush to blend and shape. There is no tug or pull when applying this brow definer, it applies smoothly. Now for the negatives. I felt like I was using a crayola crayon to color in my brows. The pencil is fat and clunky and does not allow for any precision. I also dislike wood pencils that you have to sharpen. There is so much product waste! Because the pencil is so fat it is impossible to get a precise natural looking brow. I would buy this if it came in a fine tipped mechanical pencil, but not impressed with this products packaging.
