L'Oreal Infallible 24H Fresh Wear Liquid Foundation Copper

I use to have dry skin when I first tried this, but years later I’m reviewing this as a superrrrrr oily skinned girly. When my skin was dry, this never clung to my dry patches or dried my skin out even more. It always felt hydrating glowy and my shade (420) was a perfect match— especially in the fall winter seasons. I’m typically 425-430 in the summer. Anyways, now that I have oily skin, there were days when I felt that this foundation made my skin especially oily; despite using powders to help mattify my makeup. I definitely recommend pairing this with the elf grip primer if you want your makeup to last extra long. The staying power for this foundation is insane. I’ve slept in it (not proud) and my foundation still looked good the next day lol. Overall, any pros that I feel come with this foundation outweigh any cons. I have switched to the Estée Lauder double wear as I feel it’s more mattifying, but I still keep a bottle of this on hand whenever I run out.

Amazing, affordable foundation!

I’ve always been a double wear girly for years and years and with the cost of living I was looking for a more affordable foundation and this one has exceeded my expectations!This is very similar to double wear, but had a more natural finish which I prefer. Really like the pump as well. It’s got a great coverage and feels light weight and stays in place. I’ve got very oily skin so I am quite shiny and a little patchy by the end of the day, but that’s normal for me. Bring back the old formula!

I have been using the 24HR foundation for at least 5 years and it was great - medium coverage and a shade that matches my face's neutral tones. Then, out of nowhere, L'Oreal redid the formulation from a 24HR to a 32HR bottle and continues to sell it under the same SKU. The shade and texture are completely different! I use 435 Rose Vanilla, and it's a nice neutral light-medium tone. The new 32HR has pink undertones and is at least 2 shades lighter than the original (closer to 410). The texture is also thicker and feels more like sunscreen. It doesn't settle and feels greasy after only an hour. I absolutely hate the new formulation! No one asked for Vitamin C in their foundation or to have 8 extra hours of coverage with a sunscreen texture. My favorite foundation ever!

I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION ❤️ I have combination/oily skin. I am very pale and have always had trouble finding a shade of foundation that is both light enough and not too pink or yellow. Shade 395 is the PERFECT neutral/rose shade for me. It is also very breathable and doesn't crease too badly at all. I have found using a damp beauty blender works best for me and gives it a nice, natural finish. For me, it really is the "your skin, but better" product. On its own it lasts on my skin quite nicely, but I live in the South where the humidity will melt even the most "long-lasting" makeup. So to be sure my makeup stays all day even in the summer, I like to set my foundation with my Hourglass powder and then Urban Decay All-Nighter spray. New Formulation Fail

I was so grateful to have found the original 24 hr foundation! It went on smooth, made my skin look even and beautiful, didn’t melt off in the high humidity, could barely feel that I was wearing foundation, and was kind to my super sensitive, prone to break outs, skin. The new formulation is gross. The ingredients list is quite different. The same shade I wore (415) in the original formulation has an orangey tint in the new. It’s heavy, feels greasy, looks cakey, starts to melt or wear off a couple of hours after wear, settles in my fine lines, and accentuates my pores much more. It also broke my skin out horribly after one use. Hopefully, L’Oréal listens to their customers and brings back the old 24 hr formulation that is dearly loved.

Reformulated 32Hr Fresh Wear

I ordered the 24hr Fresh Wear, but what I received was the reformulated 32hr. It's nice that it has added skincare ingredients, but this new version does not work well with my skin. It applies well and looks nice for the first hour, then it starts to break apart and accentuate dry patches and pores. I tried prepping my skin with a good moisturizer and primer to see if that would help, but the difference was minimal. This formula seems to be more drying, causing my skin to feel tight and burn. The 24hr version seemed to be better for sensitive, combination skin. I won't be repurchasing this again. Hopefully this formula works well for others though. :-)

The Truth About New Formula

I received the new 32-hour wear formula this last time I ordered this foundation. People are complaining a LOT about this new formula - but the truth is it’s not that different. It’s slightly more mattifying- but not so much that it dries my skin. Actually, my forehead creases look better. I have combination/acne-prone skin. No new blemishes. Sunscreen ingredients are exactly the same. Fragrance has moved up in the ingredients list (indicating greater amount since ingredients are listed in quantitative order) but I don’t notice the difference much if at all (and I am hormonally fragrance-sensitive). All the negative reviews had me about to bail on this foundation - but it’s still great!

The reformulation is awful. Bring back the old formula & shades please!

I loved the old version of the infallible 24 hour fresh wear foundation. It was perfect. But the reformulation is awful. It is cakey, it oxidizes, and makes my skin texture look horrible. And the shades are not the same. The 395 Rose Pearl used to be my PERFECT shade match but the 32 hour reformulation is too yellow for my skin. The picture I took has the 32 hour formula on the left and the original 24 hour formula on the right. They are two different colors. I’m very disappointed in L’Oreal for changing this once awesome product.

I trust Tati's judgment, but given its popularity, this can be a tough one to find. I finally got my hands on a bottle, and I'm so glad I did! This one is worth the hype.It wears beautifully, it keeps you shine-free without looking too matte, and the price is right. I have combo/oily skin and this doesn't turn shiny by the end of the day. It has buildable application, it doesn't break down on the face throughout the day, and it can give you medium to totally full coverage.My only gripe is that it's heavily fragranced; I don't understand the need to add fragrance to foundation!
