L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Night Cream 50ml

While I like white jar with gold banded lid, my L’Oreal Age Perfect night moisturizer came completely shattered despite the box looking just fine. I was able to salvage enough to try it out. I do think this moisturizer is heavy enough to have contributed to some breakouts. I personally enjoyed it after using acids to help buffer them and reduce their drying effects. L’Oreal has a 10% pure glycolic acid serum that would be quite nice under the Age Perfect moisturizer because they both work to brighten and even skin tone. And don’t forget to use both of those on the backs of your hands if you have age spots. While I do have maturing skin and could benefit from firming and evening of my skintone, I felt that this moisturizer was too heavy and greasy for my combination, acne prone skin. I would recommend it for very dry skin (maybe in combination with L’Oreal’s 1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum) or those with faces that are starting to get chapped from the cold, windy winter weather. What a great compliment to the L'Oreal Age Perfect Day Cream. This L'Oreal Age Perfect Night Cream is also nice and rich but goes on really smooth and absorbs quickly into the skin. Despite being a little thick, it is not heavy at all and doesn't leave my skin greasy at all. Actually it leaves my skin looking more alive, bright, and radiant looking. More healthy and hydrated and soft and smooth at the same time. My skin has gone from being dull, dry and scaly to like I said, more hydrated, soft smooth, not scaly anymore for sure and radiant looking. Another thing other than brightening my skin is that it has helped diminished my fine lines. Now who doesn't want to look and feel younger at our age, I certainly do. Overall, this is an okay moisturizer, but probably not for everyone based on what I listed above. I am prone to bouts of contact dermatitis and eczema with certain products, and even when my skin was irritated, I cannot say for certain that this moisturizer caused it. I used this consecutively for as long as I could (almost a month), but had to stop and switch to something more gentle and fragrance-free when my skin started acting up. I probably won’t purchase this because I didn’t see any noticeable changes after a few weeks, and since animal welfare is important to me, I would rather go with a truly cruelty-free brand instead.

L’Oreal is very smart to make moisturizers that are different for day use versus night use. I like that this night cream is very creamy so it can really give intense moisture while I’m sleeping at night so I don’t look like a grease pit during the day while trying to get hydrated. The formula goes on smoothly and really does make my skin feel soft and smooth. I did notice on days that I exfoliated with a scrub, this cream did feel a little slight burn. Nothing that concerned me since a lot of ingredients can do that depending in the ingredients and this formula is full of good stuff. Also no break outs with all that Moisture.
