I always wanted a hair dye, which covers the grey roots very quickly between two full colouring. L'Oreal Magic Retouch Permanent Root Concealer is even better what I expected. It is completely mess free and long lasting. It blends perfectly with my hair colour. It is totally invisible while perfectly covers those pesky greys. The pack contains even a very handy applicator brush. Brilliant!

Loreal Magic Retouch is the perfect solution for when I just can't be bothered to colour my entire head of hair and when I don't want to have to wait half an hour doing nothing, just waiting for the colour to set! It's really easy to use. You just apply it for ten minutes and then rinse out. I think the best bit is being able to rinse it out as previous concealers I have used have been the spray-on type, which tends to be sticky, and always makes me worried that it will run in the rain!I also like the targeted application with the Soft Brush Tip or Precision Tip which is included. It's less messy.All in all, a very handy product!

I've used a few other products in the L'oréal Magic retouch line but this was my first time using the Magic retouch permanent product. Unlike the temporary sprays, this one comes with an applicator brush that you can attach to the bottle for a more thorough and precise application. You only get one usage out of the bottle but its more than enough to cover those pesky roots. It claims to last up to 4 weeks but I'm only 2 weeks in so I cannot say, but so far, so good. The product comes with instructions which are easy to follow and the application is completely mess free. Definitely recommend for those who want a quick fix to root regrowth.

So, I was eager to try this permanent retouch too. It's very easy to mix. The applicator allows you to use it exactly where its required so there's no mess. the waiting time is short and it covers up all my grey roots. I only did it a week ago, so I can't as yet agree with the details on the box that says it will last for 4 weeks. However, L'Oreal never make false claims , so I'm convinced it'll see me through as advised.And it is a great product ! And I can thoroughly recommend it. But for simple ease, I shall still continue to use the L'Oreal Magic Touch spray. I think this product is perfect if you only have a few visible greys which frame your face or along your parting. I used the tip applicator first to do my roots and then switched to the brush to make sure I caught all the fluffy greys along my hairline at the front. I initially thought there wasn’t much product, but there was more than I needed. I left it on for exactly 10 minutes and it worked as intended - all greys were covered and it blended perfectly with the rest of my hair. I actually did this as I was getting ready for a night out and it was so quick! I would definitely purchase again.

You simple pour the bottle of dye into the larger bottle of developer and mix thoroughly.The bottles are quite small but there is enough product to cover a grey roots that are quite short in length. I used the precision applicator tip to apply the product but there is also a brush applicator that comes in the box. I ended up using the brush applicator just to smooth down unruly and curly roots to help them lay flat in order to saturate them with the product.I left the dye on for the recommended time of 10 minutes and another 5 minutes because my hair is quite coarse. I really liked this product. Quick and easy to use. I had the roots of my light blonde hair darkened prior to a holiday and they lifted quite a lot in the sun to a darker blonde. My hair is at present not in great condition so I didnt want to be using an all over colour. This was perfect to touch up the regrowth. With 2 different applicators to use and only 10 minutes on the hair. You mix the bottles together and pop on your desired applicator. Leave 10 mins and then rinse off. It covered my grey too and was a nice match to the root colour i have. Great if you are short on time or dont want to to be visiting a salon every few weeks.
I’ve tried the other temporary root cover spray before, and was expecting this one to be of a similar format. I was surprised to find this is in fact a more traditional style of hair dye. What did impress me was the applicator. This comes with a unique (to me) brush applicator, to really get into your roots. It looks like the brush might be able to be reused, and I will certainly try to reuse it when I use my usual L’Oréal hair colourant. I’m not sure this product is worth the money, unless of course you were to use a new brush applicator each time.
I was thrilled with the results of this when I first bought it. So much so I bought two for future use. Something went wrong the second application was a totally different colour and left me looking not at all good. Now my roots are showing badly against my dark brown second application. L’Oréal seem to have a problem with consistency. Similar problem with another of their stable of products a couple of years ago. This is a serious problem as I giving up on L’Oréal.
