The gold standard of the mascara world. I've been using L'Oreal mascara since the day I started wearing make-up.So not far short of 40 years then. There are expensive mascaras and there are cheap one's. And you do get what you pay for. But I find woth L'Oreal you get reasonably prided and excellent results too. I always use a primer as I find it coats and separates the lashes ready for mascara. This one is black which stops that leftover white like most other primers are. The mascara is really good and coats lashes well, not clumpy or sticky. The wands are perfect and just the right size and shape needed to get a fantastic look. The results are so amazing and compliment a nice eyeshadow or even just a natural face look.

This is a good mascara that comes with 2 parts and each of them has different brush. I absolutely loved the base or first part as it covered eyelashes evenly and made them look longer and it created more volume. Note that I had to be careful not to use too much of 1st part because I don’t like to wear too much/heavy mascara and there is a second part to use as well. The part two comes with curved brush which curled up eye lashes, especially towards the end. At the end I loved result and eyelashes were great – more volume, curved, longer and thicker and not looking fake or having a lot of product on. I’ve had this mascara and tried it for over a week now. I wanted to see if the 'two brushes' was a gimmick or whether it really served a purpose. Upon first use I found it a bit clumpy and thought that it wasn’t for me. But, as I said, I persevered and maybe it’s just me getting used to a two brush mascara but I no longer think it’s a gimmick. It gives a really nice effect because of the two brushes. The first brush is for the lifting effect and taking apart the lashes and the second brush for putting on more to give the beautiful finish of the look. So to start, I have short Asian lashes but I have had them lifted so they are already curled.This mascara didn't do much for my lashes. It doesn't add length to my lashes. It's kind of clumpy so I guess they add some volume but not in a nice way. I did two coats of each end and it's probably too much that it weighed down my lashes (don't forget I've had a lash lift!). For a mascara who's name includes "lift" in it, I would have expected better.Overall, a bit disappointed. If you want length and curl, you might not find it here. Volume is ok I guess but don't do to many layers (maybe just one of each end).Try the L'Oreal false lash x fiber or Maybelline sky-high if you want length and curl. Good luck!
Tried the L’Oréal PRO XXL LIFT Mascara, it’s a double ended mascara which is numbered 1 & 2. I have very fine short blonde lashes, so I’m always on the hunt for a new better mascara. Decided to give this a go & I am quite happy with it! Which is amazing for me as I’m usually disappointed with mascara! I first used both ends starting with number 1…good lift & a bit of length, nothing huge, but good! Then put number 2 on top! This is where I usually have issues & my lashes end up all stuck & glued together! Not this time, number 2 went on really nicely & got a wee bit more length out of it! Used for around a week & still liking it! I have since tried using number 2 on its own which is really nice, it doesn’t dry too fast which is something I really like! Number 1 is ... Honest review: Definitely not something I'd buy! I received this as a trial product to review so have forced myself to use it since it arrived so as to be able to give an honest one. Using step 1 then following with 2 is awful! Thick clumpy dry looking spider leg lashes, and step 2 provides NO lift whatsoever! I tried using the step 1 alone and step 2 alone which was less clumpy but still not a product I'd use if it wasn't for this trial. Definitely an unnecessary gimmick with the two steps. PRO XXL mess! :grimacing:

Fine if you have no eyeshadow and can clean up, but really annoying if you've spent time doing your other eye products.The other issues included even distribution of the product and some clumping together of lashes. I dont think the 2nd wand added any great curl to my lashes when used after wand 1.I think both wands add volume to a similar effect. Slight more curl if i just used wand 2 first, and found it less clumpy than wand 1.So overall, you can get some curl a good amount of volume, but can be slightly messy. Makeup wipes alone did not remove this mascara and I had to use a micellar makeup remover to fully remove it so I think the claims of it lasting 24 hours maybe true.This mascara is best if you're looking for impact so might not be best for a natural look.

Which as you can see gave instant results, with no lash curling! Add the Step 2 curl & this is a winning combination!I love both the tapered spoolies that allow you to grab every lash! The Step 2 one really reminds me of the Lancôme Lash Idole one that is so beloved!It also says to be sweatproof, clump and flake free! Now on first usage I applied directly after skincare & always expect a little panda’ing due to my well lamented oily lids, but after a day of family walking in the woods, eye rubbing I’m very pleased to say the first two claims were pretty spot on, however at the end of the day I saw minimal flaking but again I am an eye rubber & possibly the skin care may have not made it set properly. But all in all I am SO impressed & other than the minimal flaking they held their lift all day until I was able to remove it with my trusty @garnieruk Micellar Oil Infused Cleansing Water! All again with not a lash curler in sight!My husband even said he could see my lashes, which is high praise as he & my son were blessed with beautifully long curled lashes that they delight in teasing me & now so have I - with a little help from @lorealparis!
