33% Cheaper than GV? Wholly Molly!

I buy jalapeños regularly, this gringo loves jalapeños, usually Great Value brand.That is, until I found these for cheaper per ounce than GV. Go figure that one.They are identical in quality, cut, flavor and appearance but, nearly 1/4 more for 29¢ less overall dollars. Imagine that! A 33% savings over Walmart house brand, at least at the time of my recent purchases. Check for yourself. Do the math.GV=$2.17/12oz=18¢ per oz.La Costena=$1.88/15.5oz=12.1 per oz.12.1/18=67.3%, OR, 33% savings over GV brand.

Good peppers

I put peppers in and on everything. I like this brand. The peppers are good texture and taste. Not a lot of seeds. Good juice. Hot not overly pickled or olive brine flavored. Good for lots of different dishes. Fresh tasting. Bright. Good out of jar.

I used to love them.. now too spicy..

I had been buying these religiously for years and the stores kept running out of stock on them for weeks at a time. When the stores recently restocked them i loaded up on as many as i reasonably could have while leaving plenty for other customers. unfortunately it seems the recipe had changed or something has happened to these new jars because they are super spicy now and i cant have really spicy foods (IBS). The reason I was able to buy them for so long was because they were mild on spice... now im not sure how Im going to use up like 10 jars of them.. im so disappointed because these were one of my favorite foods that i could enjoy on such a limited diet.. not sure if i will keep buying to see if they go back to normal spice level.

First, I didn’t realize these were being shipped by 3rd party. Thought they were going to be in my pickup order. They arrived a little over a week from placing my order.Second, I got the peppers out and discovered an OPEN box cutter! The cutter is not mine. Luckily I didn’t cut myself in the process.

Spice Up Your Life... and Meals

I like the flavor of Jalapeno peppers. I also like spicy (hot), which these are not. Just good Jalapeno flavor. I put them on or in everything... salads, scrambled eggs, soups, salads, or just eat them as slices. They are not hot spicy (to me), just like the flavor. I have been going through a jar of these about every 2-3 weeks.

Tasted Like DIRT

I should’ve listened to the reviews that said these jalapeños tasted like dirt. They taste like someone picked them %26 rolled them in the soil, then placed the soil-covered jalapeños straight into the jar for pickling. These are NOT good at all. Easy PASS! I only got these because the Great Value brand wasn’t available. Even though the Great Value is the store brand, they have the best flavor with a good amount of heat.

Very mushy - not crunchy at all

We bought several of these, and none of these have had any crunch at all. In fact, some jars are very, very mushy. I like to dice jalapeno slices in a blender, but these just end up as a paste after one or two short bursts. You can easily mash these with your finger. Every brand Sam's had carried in the past decade or two has been better than these. But if you don't mind the texture, these are a great value. They do taste good.

Walmart markets higher priced items to Walmart

Love the product, but am very frustrated aw a walmart plus member. I had to but a 4 pound jar just so i could get it shipped. You have the smaller ones, but they are pick up only. Anything i need in the size i need it, is always pick up only. This happens on every order I place. And when are you gonna deliver to Burkburnett?? I'm sure there a lot of us out here hoping that one day, you would actually deliver here. But there have been times I have to go to your competitors to get what I need. And I'm sure that you have it figured out, that we need to get the larger, so you can make more money. I am very unhappy with your walmart at the present.
