I have been buying this chardonnnay for years and is my go to for a gift for many occasions. Never disappoints!

A new go to Chardonnay

This has been a surprisingly good Chardonnay. I've not had any La Crema wines before. A Chardonnay which has all the fruit taste in it description. La Crema Monterey Chardonnay tops my usual Kendal Jackson which has been the go to Chardonnay for us. I'll be trying the other Chardonnays and for that matter Pinot Noir La Crema has to offer, Sonoma and Russian River.

Affordable yumminess...

I think it’s a nice, light affordable Chardonnay. I tend to lean toward fruity but not sweet. (I actually like a more buttery chard...)It has a little oak taste that I like and a ‘slate’ taste...I think most people say ‘stone’ not sure...It’s yummy to me.

Big Chardonnay but a bit lacking
26 March 2018

A very smooth, big-bodied Chardonnay with subtle flavors like ripe pear and melon on the palate. It has quite a bit of malolactic treatment, which gives it a creamy characteristic, and has a bit of wood, which is nicely balanced. However, the malolactic also removes the fresh citrus type characters and for me it's less fresh and has less appeal than La Crema's Sonoma Coast Chardonnay.

Crisp Chardonnay!

I received two samples of the Chardonnay at the HighPoint Market. I am in love with this brand! Not only was I suppress by the free samples, but they tasted delicious ! Definitely would recommend the Pinot noir as well

Nothing exceptional but quaffable. Overpriced
1 July 2020

Nothing exceptional but quaffable. Overpriced for what it is. I’ve had équivalant from the ‘bargain’ table, but, then again, I’m not a huge fan of whites: I keep trying them in vain.

Perfect Chardonnay
7 October 2018

Bought a case of La Crema for my white wine offering at my 70th birthday bash. I've been drinking La Crema almost exclusively when I want a white wine served. I never appreciated chardonnays until I started looking into less "oaky" varieties. The La Crema is true to the texture of this Chardonnay!

I like the butteryness in the Chardonnay. Goes well with pickled herring and vodka!

Expert Review - Vintage 2023 The Wine Spectator 89 Points | Smooth and plump, with an appealing seamlessness to the spice, melon, lemon zest and ripe peach flavors. There's a creamy, juicy quality that makes this white appealing and stylish. Lingering finish. Drink now. 253,505 cases made. Winemaker’s notes La Crema Monterey Chardonnay offers aromas of grilled pineapple, citrus blossom, tangerine, and papaya. On the palate, white peach, key lime, and honeydew melon are complimented by a touch of barrel spice, and a river stone minerality. The winery's original name, La Crema Viñera, means "best of the vine," setting the standard for all the team has done since 1979. For more than 35 years, the family-owned and operated winery has focused exclusively on cool-climate appellations, from its original home in the Russian River Valley, to Monterey and, now, the Willamette Valley. La Crema is continually exploring these very special regions—passionate in the belief that they make uniquely expressive and elegant wines. Thorough vineyard site selection and boutique winemaking techniques ensure the consistently distinct, naturally balanced wines La Crema is committed to producing.
