I vastly prefer the cushion for everyday, especially considering how well it layers over liquid, cream, and even powder foundation to give blemish and discoloration coverage. The foundation can cling a bit to dry patches because it's longwear, but the cushion makes them melt away. It's honestly amazing, and I've been using the same cushion for over three months (purchased overseas), with plenty left!

Glowy coverage that lasts all day but some issues!

So I had to play around with combinations to get this to work with my skin, but it’s so worth it! Great skincare ingredients and a glowy sheer to full coverage that’s perfect for everyday. I wish they had put some more effort into the actual cushion, it has the same quality as a cushion in a $5 compact. I prefer to apply this with a beauty blender anyway. It fits perfectly dabbing the sponge in and I find that it applies the foundation more evenly than with the cushion which can be a little streaky. It results in a more lightweight and glowy finish too, but it’s so easy to build this thing up to cover any redness. My usual sunscreen dimethicone heavy primer just didn’t play well and my skin looked a little dry. I switched things up to a moisturizing primer with some pore filling around my nose and it transformed this foundation. It’s worth the effort to find what works best! I find that it worked better with liquid blush and highlighter vs balms and creams, but it did work nice with the powders I have. How the foundation looks when you apply is how it’s gonna look all day, which I love! The cushion is so full of product and very even. No dipping in and one part of the cushion is dry while the other is overloaded. For the price it’s nice that you get a refill, but I really hope they start selling those separately. That’s the whole point of a cushion foundation, I don’t want to have to throw the thing away! I wish I could give a 4.5 for a few of these issues, but for the foundation itself it's worth the 5 stars!

Good product

I found the colour range excellent for paler skin tones, which was my key reason for buying. Ideally I would prefer a longwear foundation with no transfer, but you can't have everything! I find that this sets well with the La Mer loose powder and coverage is longer lasting than I expected (and compared with another cushion foundation I bought previously). Coverage is good. For me, it needs a primer - I tend to find the Clarins thicker one works well. But my skin tends to be dry in the winter so the primer is primarily to stop the foundation settling into the pores. Overall good.

LIGHTWEIGHT AND LOVELY !!!!

I have a few products from La Mer that are must haves and this one has made the list. I am so pleased with how well this works. It's lightweight with just the right amount of coverage. It soaks right into my skin and my fine lines and wrinkles are not as noticeable. It's a natural look which I prefer. I am truly amazed !!!! I have used many foundations over the years and I am happy to say, I have finally found the perfect one for me.

LaMer products are superb!

I love LaMer products...My only disappoint in this particular one is the color. Because I live a 100 miles from the nearest Nordstrom, I need to order online. I have tried several products and really don't like returning a product that I have used. I finally settled on #21 Pink Petal and was very happy with it. When I needed to replace it, the color was no longer in Nordstrom's inventory online, so I tried #12 Ivory Neutral. I know how to compensate with other colors by mixing. The compact foundation is easy to mix with a liquid that I have used for several years. However, this time I am going to try LaMer's liquid foundation to mix with it - mostly because I love the feel of LaMer products on my skin. Natural finish

The cushion foundation is gorgeous! I got the shade Warm Ivory, I am fair Olive skin (nc15-20) and usually have issue with Colour matching, so happy to find a shade match. The finish is natural satin Matte and as it wears it gives that almost glass dewy skin effect, it’s natural looking not cakey though it has decent coverage, blurs and even skin. I find it last a good day, and easy for touch Ups. it smells like the fancy face cream, like delicate Roses, which is lovely. I find my skin looks very good condition after taking it off, so it does have some skincare effect.Highly recommend if you can find a shade match.I am TF Bone, UD decay GC30, Koh Gen Do 213, nars Ceylan/gobi.

I love this cushion compact! It does not break out my skin as other cushions have. The shades are beautiful. I wear Warm Ivory in the cushion and Creme in the Soft Fluid Foundation. The cushion provides less coverage and a barely there feel, perfect for summer. If it gets too dewy, you can always set it with a light dusting of powder. I use several La Mer skin care products. Why would I want to cover up the clear, bright skin La Mer has helped me achieve? I appreciate that this product shows off my skin and perfectly complements the other products in the line. Too expensive

I have been using La Mer Soft Fluid foundation for many years. Luminous Lifting foundation is a great product for my skin type (mature and very dry). However it is cost prohibitive. Each cushion contains .42 oz of product (there are two in the package) which sums to .82. One cushion lasted approximately 20, very light application. Two cushions 40. The original foundation 1 oz. lasts longer, much longer. Many months of use - same light application. Also the The Luminous Foundation is made in Korea, the The Soft Fluid in Belgium.I hope this will help potential customers.
