With the fast-absorbing La Mer The Treatment Lotion, you can provide your skin with an extra dose of moisture, valuable nutrients and electrolytes in just one step, giving it new freshness. The intensive, water-based moisturiser owes its effect to a revitalising ferment that combines seaweed and 73 marine minerals. The ingredients support the skin's natural regeneration and strengthen the hydromineral balance at the same time. After using the skincare product, the skin feels silky and supple and appears plumped up. In addition, skin tone and texture are visibly improved. How to use La Mer The Treatment Lotion The moisturiser optimises the skincare routine. Apply a small amount to the skin with gentle pressure after cleansing the face. You can use either your fingertips or a cotton pad for this. After application, the skin is optimally prepared for subsequent skincare. To improve the effect of the skincare, you should then apply the feather-light The Hydrating Infused Emulsion and finish with the ultra-rich Crème De La Mer. For optimum results, it is advisable to carry out the skincare routine regularly.

The Treatment Lotion is probably the first LM product that I just don't quite know what to make of! It's got the same distinctive La Mer fragrance and a list of ingredients (including, of course, the Miracle broth) as long as my arm. The texture is a viscous water, like glycerin and water mixed together, it's quite hydrating even used on its own, but it really doesn't seem to serve any purpose if you already use one of their moisturizers, unless you need an extra boost of moisture. That won't work for everyone though. Didn't notice any other difference, like skin texture or glow. One thing you definitely DON'T want to do is 'saturate a cotton pad' as instructed, and then apply to face, because that would just be a blatant waste of product and nothing other than a way to get you to use this up faster! Stick with the 'alternative' method of applying only with fingertips and you will get much less wastage, because at this price literally every drop counts! -- My Top 10 Beauty Must-Haves

This makes my skin glow from the inside out. I usually use this after exfoliating so that it absorbs deeper into my skin. I have really red skin due to rosacea, and this lotion is one of the few products I’ve tried that calms my skin enough to not appear red and irritated. It gives me nice dewey looking skin that’s not overly shiny. Like a glow from the inside out. This stuff is magic in a bottle. And the price is definitely up there, and I would usually take a star off, but I can’t do that with this product. It’s nice that they sell smaller sizes so that more people are able to try it, but if you have redness problems like me, it’s worth it in my opinion to buy less products that work well for your skin instead of buying a ton of different products that end up ... MoreThis makes my skin glow from the inside out. I had a small travel size of this product to try. A little goes a long way and even when used twice a day I was able to stretch the bottle for just about two weeks. I did not change anything else in my skin care routine just to see some results. Well, I did not see any. Although it says treatment lotion it is and behaves like an essence and I’ve tried multiple essences by now. The fragrance in this is definitely noticeable and although I don’t mind a good smelling skin care this missed the mark. This didn’t help with anything I can think of - pores, fine lines, brightness. Sure it did give my skin some extra hydration but c’mon, it is La Mer! For $180! I do have recommendations for other products which are cheaper and way more effective. I was initially dubious that this product would make any real difference, but it has really exceeded my expectations! The lotion is a watery consistency and really easy to apply. Only a few drops are required and can be applied with your fingertips or with a cotton wool pad after cleansing. It is immediately absorbed and you are able to apply your moisturiser over the top straight away. Your skin appears plumped and healthy and I feel that my fine lines are reduced immediately . Better than that, it is the best primer I have ever used - your skin is matte and ready for make-up application on a perfect base! After 3 weeks of use, my skin looks more luminous, plump and healthy and I feel my fine lines are reduced after use. A compliment indeed! This lotion is a game-changer for me and I really didn't expect it to make a difference. The amount required is so small, that the bottle will last for months and months, even using it twice daily. My new go-to product!

After two weeks skin looks brighter and fresher
10 March 2022

When I received the lotion I was not sure how to use it as it was not clear on the packaging. Once I did some research on the internet, I started using the lotion as part of my morning routine; after having a shower and before applying my usual face cream. It comes in a large glass bottle which will last a long time as only a few drops are necessary at a time. I have combination skin with some dry areas particularly around my eyes and nose and when I first applied the product it did sting on the dry patches which put me off a bit. However, as my skin improved the stinging has stopped. It is a light weight liquid, almost like water and is great as it is not greasy. It is easy to apply and soaks into the skin quickly. My skin looks fresher and my dry areas have decreased. I wouldn't necessarily say it is good value for money but if you like Le Mer products then this is a good addition to your routine.

Good product but very expensive

The box that the lotion was presented in was appealing. It looked like a premium product, (for example with (thankfully) no garish colours or patterns, or far-fetched claims).I was surprised that there were no further instructions inside the box, which I would usually expect. The bottle itself also looked classy. I was anticipating a plastic tube or bottle, so the dark green glass bottle was a pleasant surprise. There was no nozzle or other dosing device however, so having to tip the bottle up to get the drops out seemed a little clumsy. The lotion had a faint smell, which I usually dislike, but this was pleasant, slightly herby or reminiscent of the seaside, if anything. The texture of the lotion was a real plus - watery rather than creamy. It is easy to put on with no 'waste' to have to wash off my hands.I have used the lotion as instructed for over a week now and am happy with the way my skin feels.Does my skin feel smoother/less wrinkly/tauter/brighter than when using my usual routine? I think so, but that may be the psychological effect of knowing that it is an expensive, quality product.Am I happy with it? Yes.Would I buy it again? Maybe, if it was much less expensive, or ask for it for a special occasion.

I wasn't sure what to expect, this was my first time trying a La Mer product, my skincare varies from the Inky List, Kiehl's and Lancome so this was certainly the most expensive I've tried. After removing my makeup before bed, I dropped a few drops on my fingertips and pressed into my skin as instructed (or you can use a cotton pad) and was amazed at how it went from sat on the skin to quickly absorbed in seconds. It was like my skin took a drink! I then followed up with the Matte Moisturizing Lotion. I have quite red, oily combination skin so keen to try anything that will calm it down and balance it out and whilst this was the most expensive cocktail for my skin, it definitely thanked me for it. I've been using for almost a week now and it really has made such a positive difference and I look forward to seeing the continued results. I've repeated the regime in the morning pre makeup too and noticed my foundation looks fresher, smoother thanks to having a better base no doubt! Highly recommend!

This has been a staple in my skin care routine since 2014 at its launch. I have been a faithful user ever since and have brought countless bottles throughout the years. It is (or rather used to be) a somewhat thicker lotion that absorbs fast and provides hydration without any oiliness. Rather like the TL used to be at its launch in 2014.Fragrance is a bit different too.But the biggest change is probably the heavy glass packaging! While it is certainly nice to look at, it is heavy and makes the usage very impractical in case of ease of slipping and being shattered into millions of pieces on the bathroom floor. Not to mention carrying it along when travelling.Another comment to the packaging team, the closure (at this price range) should have been paid closer attention to and chosen a more subtle one, rather like the previous packaging had or even better, as the original Estee Lauder Micro Essence closure was formed by the glass itself. (It would have obviously been more expensive, however, this is supposed to be a luxury item!)

Plump and absorbent, cannot live without
17 May 2023

Got a sample of this a while back and noticed that whenever I put it on, my skin seemed happier, plump and hydrated and my makeup and other skincare seemed to lay and absorb better. I gave in and bought a bottle, and now I’m hooked. My pores appear smaller, skin appears smoother, healthier, younger, anything else I put on over this absorbs better and therefore works as it’s supposed to, my makeup looks flawless and my no makeup days are also flawless. I didn’t want to love it because of how expensive it is, but it’s a little indulgence I’ll give to my skin from now on. Time will tell how long the 5 oz bottle lasts me but I pour about 3-4 drops twice a day. Light scent, not sticky, not oily or greasy, perfect on my oily/combo skin in cold and extreme heat. I love this!
