I bought this for my wife as a Xmas present and she is over the moon with it - we have friends and family who have the same model and so she was familiar with its use which limited the initial frustrations that can be felt with a manual machine.

Iconic for starters. Looks good on the kitchen bench. Easy to use in principle. But that's where the difficulties begin. To pull a great shot involves a lot of trial and error. There are a heap of variables to manipulate. Any one of which, if out of whack, can cause grief. And don't touch the chrome once operating temperature has been reached. Hot, I mean, HOT.
I was worried that this wasn't a real website, but I'm glad I was proven wrong. Everything came in just as expected. Early, actually. The espresso this makes really is as good as a barista's. I've had a hard time getting the milk to froth though since the wand doesn't stick out to the side like other machines.
I have used this kind of machine before and found it to be strong, heavy and responsive. The new one is light weight and a little bit “tinny” and the tamper doesn’t even fit into the group head. Disappointing.
My first coffee machine.Spent quite a while researching and came up with La Pavoni.Such a simple machine, I expect it to last pretty much forever.Have read many reviews regarding the high quality espresso you can achieve. While it takes a little time too perfect, pretty much every shot is really good. But when you get it just right, the coffee is fantastic.Great little machine.
My early morning coffee experience has been much more enjoyable since this La Pavoni Professional LP made its way into my dining area…and easier on the ear for my neighbours as well with the Eureka Mignon Silenzio handling the coffee beans!There is definitely a learning curve to perfecting the short black on a lever machine, yet even my earliest shots were definitely drinkable. The machine looks impressively complicated; however the process of pulling a shot is simplified. I am very happy with the quality of my purchase, and have really appreciated the service provided by the AB Team...and being able to check in with Joshua’s videos on using the La Pavoni. Thank you team for all your help and patience.
Great, I’ve had a Europiccolo before, so simply upgraded so that I can make more coffees when friends come to visit! A little teething problem with the steaming wand, but some friendly help from the team at Alternative Brewing got things sorted pronto. Many thanks, love this machine
It’s performance and predictability make the art of making great coffee very enjoyable. There is a steep learning curve but there is so much information available to guide me it wasn’t long before I was making the best coffee I have ever had.The most enjoyable part is feeling integrated into the coffee making process, rather then pushing a button and standing back to let the machine do the work for you.Very enjoyable experience, small footprint, quiet, slightly technical and it looks great in my kitchen.Don’t be scared to give it a try!
