The packaging and dark blue bottle with dropper are beautiful, and you immediately feel you are getting a quality product. The application instructions are quite lengthy, and end with performing the "signature sealing gesture" with a "press-and-roll motion three times," yet I when I looked on the La Prairie website I couldn't find an example or demonstration of this technique. I'm not someone who typically likes fragrant face creams, yet I absolutely LOVE the scent of this oil. I only apply 2 drops at night and already after a week have noticed the fine lines on my forehead diminished. My eyebrows even seem to have a more "lifted" appearance. This is an expensive extravagant face oil, but if you can afford, I think you will be pleased with the results.

While the blue colors are typical elegance from La Prairie, the dropper idea is not entirely thought through in my opinion. It takes some time getting used to and getting the oil out. However, you really only need 2-3 drops to work into your face. It is so easy yo apply and the fragrance is divine. It makes me immediately feel very elegant and like pure luxury.Also, the oil absorbs fast into your skin leaving just enough moisture to make dry skin feel hydrated but hands non-greasy. I feel super indulgent using the La Prairie Skin Caviar Nighttime Oil. Everything about it feels high-end. The box, the bottle, and the applicator are all simplistically classy. When you put the oil in your hands to warm it, it doesn't have a slimy, oily feel. It feels like silk. And when you apply it, it goes on smoothly and has a slight floral smell. After a week, the fine lines around my eyes and mouth are not as noticeable. Score! Typically, retinol-based products tend to dry me out, but the lipids in this have prevented my skin from drying and getting irritated. I am happy with this nighttime oil and look forward to continuing to use it.

There has been a recent snap of arctic air here that enraged my skin, and Skin Caviar Nighttime Oil calmed it right away. I am stunned to need only two drops to achieve full coverage.
