La Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid SPF 50+ 50ml

I’ve used the La Roche Posay 50+ Shaka fluid everyday for 3 years. I would normally go through one bottle a month so I tended to bulk buy when offers were on. When I first saw the new formula come out I got quite excited as I had high hopes for this higher UVA protection. So like normal, I brought 3 new bottles of it to add to my stock. After opening and trying the first bottle of this new formula I instantly noticed a difference in the colour and thickness. It’s a lot more yellow and a lot more runny. Anyway, when I began rubbing it in, I instantly noticed that the product felt a lot more greasy and heavy. I could actually feel the product on my skin as opposed to the old formula which felt weightless and sinked in beautifully. I really wanted to like this new formula and I really have given it a fair shot (I’ve almost finished one of the three bottles) but I just can’t get over the greassiness of it. I’ve even had comments from people who don’t normally comment on my skin, telling me my face looks quite greasy when I wear it. I really hope La Roche Posay listens to these reviews and does something about it. I’d really like to keep using their products but if nothing is done about it, I’m really considering looking for alternatives (which as a long-time customer, is quite a shame).

This is a great product with superior sun protection. It is very lightweight and running in texture. The packaging is really efficient and perfect for taking along with you when you are travelling. However, the UVMUNE variant is yellowish compared to its predecessor, which was creamy white in color. It does not look as flattering on the skin as the previous non-UVMUNE version did, but I guess that is the price you pay for the higher end protection! I use this when I am travelling and going to be spending a lot of time in the sun and I do reapply it during the day without it piling or balling up. It is invisible on the skin, which is great! I'm so glad I decided to try this particular sunscreen from La Roche-Posay {already being happy with, -and using their SPF50 for children for both me and my son} wanting something that felt a bit lighter for the face and neck especially. I have very sensitive, reactive skin prone to redness {not diagnosed but ticks every box for Rosacea} and not only does this sunscreen not cause any irritations whatsoever, but my skin seem calmer and happier since I've started using this nearly daily and I've had no flare ups and putting it on. There's not even a hint of redness {that can even be brought on by my kind moisturiser that is great for me otherwise}. So much so that I've stopped using a primer before make up application {and rather just use this sunscreen and then a cc cream and some translucent mineral veil, and I have had more compliments on my skin than ever}. The consistency is quite runny and light, but I find that to be a great feature for a sunscreen for the face as it melts in with no white cast whatsoever. It stays a bit tacky to the touch {and skin looks healthy 'glowy' on me}, which I now only appreciate as that might be what then has make up sit well on top too. First time I ordered I was a bit taken back by how small the bottle is, but it's lasted much longer than expected with daily use and I've reordered more than happily since.
